I was a seemingly ordinary girl, other than the fact that I was an orphan, in an extraordinary world, a world full of magic and wonder. I did something, something that got me sentenced to execution. They were planning to execute me immediately, but they discovered I actually wasn't just an ordinary girl. My grandfather was a sorcerer of great power and my mother was a disgraced Princess of the Wind Kingdom. They still felt I deserved execution but they granted me with one more day of life. I spent that day with an amazing prince, whether he was truly of royal blood or not is unknown to me. We barely knew each other as the day began, but grew close as the day went on. He took me to a beautiful lake surrounded by high walls of rock that you could only get to by going through an underwater tunnel leading from the ocean. The water was deep and clear, and the sun shone off the surface giving it a mystical glow. It was the most peaceful place I had ever been. Then, the day came to an end. I knew that the prince and I had fallen for each other over the course of the day, but I bid him farewell just the same. I said, "Thank you for making my last day the best day of my life." Then, very softly and gently, I whispered "Good-bye." He just looked at me, his eyes pleading with me, begging me not to go, but said nothing as I turned and walked away. I was led to my execution bound in chains, prepared for the inevitable, but still wanting it to not take place. I was to be executed by a sword through the heart in front of a large audience. My final wish was that as I laid down on that cold, marble slab, I would see my prince one last time and get the chance to gaze into his eyes as I died. I got my wish. He was my executioner.
