My knowledge of Star Trek is limited to the part I saw in my Wood class and fan fiction soooo…. Yeah
IF ANY ONE WANTS TO EXPAND ON ONE OF THESE TELL ME FIRST OR WHEN ITS FINISHED I MAY WANT TO READ IT
I was board
5 things they never noticed and one they did
1.
They never noticed that right after a mission gone to hell Jim would avoid being checked out until everyone else had been cleared and even then tried to get out of it. They never wondered why and never asked so Jim never told them he could almost be a doctor himself, never told them how many times he'd been near death and he didn't want them to stop worrying so he never said anything.
2.
They never noticed that on Mother's day and Father's day Jim would make it possible for them to either take the day if the parent was dead or to have an hour long call but wouldn't do the same for himself. They never noticed that on father's day Jim spoke less then he usually would, and on mother's day he only spoke when he had to.
3.
They never noticed that when people were sharing happy tales of their youth Jim stayed silent, that he never made a motion that he had a tale to tell. They never noticed that when one of them told a sad tale and everyone else would be crying Jim's eyes would stay dry, and Jim knew if they cried at Chekov being locked in a closet for two hours he wouldn't be able to tell them anything from his life.
4.
They never noticed that Jim would watch them and if they showed signs of anything they would suddenly have the next day off. They never noticed that on certain days their captain would look like he hadn't slept in weeks. They didn't notice that he came to work half dead and looking like he was about to pass out. They never noticed that after a mission gone wrong Jim would have an emotionless face because if he cried he wouldn't be able to stop.
5.
They never noticed that when Jim ordered his steak he never ate it, eating only the vegetables and fruits. They never noticed that even on diplomatic missions when meat was offered he wouldn't eat it. They never noticed that Jim could barely tolerate the smell of and Jim knew he would never tell them why Jim knew he would never tell the others what he'd seen and heard on Tarsus IV that made him turn vegetarian
1.
Spock noticed the jumpy captain first, then Bones, Sulu, Uhura, Scotty, and finally Chekov. They didn't know why at first but as they watched their captain they noticed that the closer they got to the reformed Tarsus IV Jim got even more jumpy and Jim jumped at the smallest noises when they began to beam down. They were greeted by the governor. Spock noticed that Jim froze at the sight of him before jumping to hug the governor with a smile. They noticed that the two looked really close but seemed like they hadn't seen each other in a while.
