*GASP* Yorkie strikes again. Thanks to the always wonderful Zarri (I less than three you... that sounded dirty) for beta-ing:D.

Gelphie or Fiyeraba? You decide. :D

It was just a brush against my skin.

Really.

I was just about to sit down on my bed- we were studying calc together- when I lost my balance and started to fall backwards.

Yeah, I don't really know how I did that, either.

Fortunately, you were right behind me and stuck out your hands to steady me. You know, something anyone would do. Instincts.

Yet from the moment your hands touched my skin, I knew we were in big trouble. My breath caught in my throat- it was like a jolt of electricity up my skin. We've hugged before, but this... this was different. I can't explain how. It just... was.

I looked at you. Your mouth was hanging open slightly, eyes unfocused. Did you feel it, too?

We stood there for a few more seconds, your hands still on me. Then you seemed to snap out of it. Shaking your head as if to clear it, you apologized. Uncomfortably, we made our way to the couch.

Ok, for the record, we tried to study calc. We really, really did. I swear. But all I could concentrate on was how close we were sitting, and how nice you smelled, and how cute your face looked when you were confused, and how smart you looked when you knew what you was doing, and...

Quite simply put, I was overwhelmed by you, Elphaba.

Well, after about twenty tense minutes, we get to this really, really, really difficult problem. Like, impossible. Like, the only reason someone made it was to make our lives miserable. The kind of problem you hope and pray is never on the test, yet it always seems to be. You know. THAT kind of problem. We both lean in, staring at each others' work. Our heads get closer and closer... until they are almost touching. I can practically FEEL your head getting warmer, that's how much I'm blushing right now. By this point, I'm not really concentrating on your work. How could I?

Funny, you aren't moving either. You turn your head to face me and my breath catches in my throat. You lean in closer... My heart stops beating...

"You didn't divide by two," you say.

I let my breath out of my teeth slowly, trying not to show my annoyance. Leaning down to check over my work, I looked to the mistake. But there wasn't a place to divide by two. I turned to you.

"What are you talking-"

I never finished my sentence. You grabbed my face and pressed your lips to mine. I barely had time to react. Your lips are soft against mine; your green hands contrast nicely on my pale skin.

After a while, we break away, your eyes twinkling. Then-

"Really, you forgot to divide by two."
