Gruuuviaaaaaaa. :) Thanks for reading. :)
"I know EXACTLY where we're going." Gray cried out. His eyebrows furrowed in deep concentration. Half opened on his lap, a hopelessly outdated, unreadable road map laid.
Exasperated, his girlfriend, having already lost all hope invested in her husband, rolled down her side view window and hoped with any luck to flag down any sober passbyers that'd be enjoying a walk near sketchy desert roads by starlight.
"You're completely, without a doubt, sure you know exactly where we're going. Cause there's a sort of suspicious fellow outside and I'm willing to take my chances." Juvia offered.
"GPS's are retarded." Gray dismissed, this close to figuring out the name of the road they're stranded in. "And close your damn window, its fucking hot outside."
Juvia rolled her window up with a roll of her eyes.
"The closest hint of civilization would be... "Gray muttered." Hargeon! Yes!"
And a tiny swell of hope, hearing their destination name, rolled through both of them. Juvia felt the unwant of having to endure 'a thousand days of suffering' dissipate. 1000 days would've been the average spent getting over the rabid beating Erza would ensure on any Fairy Tail member that unsettled her in anyway. And they've only just gotten over the last round of abuse a few weeks ago, when they accidently giggled out of place for a split second, when Erza stumbled across her wedding vows, during her and Jellal's wedding 2 months and 270 odd days ago. Showing up late for a reunion party…they wouldn't want to think of how angry that akuma would be.
"Great! How far away is Hargeon?"
"400 miles." Gray announced.
Juvia pressed her fingertips to her temples and tried to rubbed down the returning terror. "Why you say it so happily, like we won't be in pain for the next 3 years." She huffed. There was no way would Gray's car would make it on a half-filled gas tank, she just knew.
"Well, we'll mull over the no gas problem when my car breaks down."
Juvia closed her eyes and right on cue, just when the second hand engine sounded just about heated up, a sudden clunk sounded, and the head and back lights dimmed.
Juvia groaned and covered her eyes, moaning prayers for her dear friend to just kill Gray and show her mercy tonight.
