"PEETA!" Katniss screams. "PEETA!"
"KATNISS!" I scream back, running through the forest frantically. Where is she?! What's happening?!
"PEETA!" she screams again.
"KATNISS! I'M COMING!" I scream back.
I dash through the woods. Where is she?! There's a suddenly explosion from above and I whip my head upward. The top of the arena shatters and there are explosions everywhere. I'm knocked off my feet and thrown against a tree by the explosion. The wind is knocked out of me and I try to regain my breath, my thoughts of Katniss.
"Katniss," I try to shout, but it only comes out as a whisper. And then I look up and see her sitting in a tree. Her bow is at her side and blood runs down her shoulder.
"Katniss," I try to shout louder, to get her attention, but it only comes out as a whisper again. An explosion goes off right in front of me and everything goes black.
My eyes open slowly. My arms are chained behind my back. I shake my head to clear the dizziness that I have and look around the room. I'm in some sort of cell. I look over and see that a few of the Avox's that had served me before were in cells as well. And then I see Johanna and some other girl.
"Johanna?" I mutter.
"Nice of you to join the party," Johanna mutters.
"Where am I?" I ask.
"The Capitol prison, genius," Johanna says.
Prison?
"Why?" I ask.
But before she can reply, my cell door swings open and two peacekeepers seize me. They drag me down a long hallway and into a room filled with strange equipment. But I know what the equipment is; it's torture devices.
"You will tell us where Katniss is," one of the peacekeepers says, strapping me to one of the torture devices.
"Katniss?" I whisper. So she wasn't captured... she's still alive!
"Where is she?" the peacekeeper said.
I stayed quiet. I would never tell them. Not in my whole life. I close my eyes and await the pain that I know will come. Katniss is alive, I think. She's safe. But for how long?
