It had been 19 years since Harry Potter had defeated the dark lord, Voldemort. Now, 19 years after the battle of Hogwarts, Harry has married Ginny and together had three children. James Sirius Potter, their eldest child, was returning for his second year at Hogwarts. Albus Severus Potter, their second oldest child, was going off for his first year of school. However, their youngest and only daughter Lily Luna Potter was too young for Hogwarts and was sad to see both her brothers leaving for school. She still had two years before she could join her older brothers. But someone who would be joining the brothers were their cousin Rose Weasley, the oldest child of his uncle Ron and aunt Hermoine.
Chapter One: Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
The station was packed with people. In the crowd, you could just make out a group of redheads and ravens making their way through the train station. The group stopped in front of a large, stone column between platforms nine and ten. If any Muggle's had been watching they would have seen the oldest of the boys running smack dab into the center of the column and disappear. The motherly looking figure in the group took the hand of a young girl and ran after the elder boy.
The last of the group left on the platform was a man, with messy Raven black hair and piercing emerald eyes framed by thin silver frame glasses, and a mini replica of the man. These people were the famous Harry Potter and his youngest son Albus Severus, who had inherited his dad's messy raven black hair and emerald eyes that came from his grandma Lily.\Harry took his son's hand and, with a running start, they entered the platform for the Hogwarts express.
Meanwhile, further down the platform, a family was making its way out of the flu network. The father was a tall man with a muscular build crafted from years of playing quidditch, but his wife was the opposite, a very tiny woman with beautiful curls cascading down her back. Between them stood a little blond boy who shared his father's silvery blond hair and silver eyes. When the little boy, Scorpius Malfoy, saw the Hogwarts express, he squeezed his mother's hand and let out a tiny squeak. His father, Draco, looked towards him with a small twitch of his lips, which was his version of a smile, and his mother bent down to give him a hug.
Draco glanced up from his family to see the Potter and Weasley men looking n his direction. All he gave them was a curt nod, then bent down to talk to his son."Well, Scorp, today's the day you . . . " It took Draco a moment to completely form his sentence, "f . . . finally get to go off to Hogwarts."
Scorpius shyly smiled up at his father. The past three years had been hard on the Malfoy family. In truth, Draco and Astoria didn't want to send their son off to school because they wanted to keep him safe at home. "And, Scorpius," Draco continued, "I'll be proud of you no matter what house you are sorted into."
Just as Draco reached up to ruffle his sons messy hair, the train conductor called all aboard. With a last kiss from his mother and a pat from his father, Scorpius Malfoy climbed onto the Hogwarts express to begin his journey to becoming a grown wizard.
