Reputations were a complicated thing in Storybrooke. When you have so many heroes and villains all living together in one place, all of their story's crossing each other in a wide and complex number of ways, it wasn't uncommon for a single person to have a range of different reputations depending on who you were asking.
Some residents however were fairly consistent in their self image no matter who you were talking to.
So the people of Storybrooke could be forgiven for their shock at seeing the following exchange take place one oddly uneventful afternoon.
"Bloody ell !"
Will Scarlet's eyes widened comically as he glanced up towards the door of Granny's diner. The gush of air as it opened announcing the arrival of one of the towns varied residents. A few of the other patrons, prompted by the notorious thief's outburst, also glanced up with mild interest to see who had startled him. A mixture of disappointment and confusion passed through the room as they gathered townsfolk realised it was just Dr Hopper.
The towns psychiatrist blinked in confusion at the level of attention he was unexpectedly faced with whilst going to collect his usual afternoon cup of tea. Green eyes settled quickly on the man who had caused it.
He blinked again as recognition set in from a long, long time ago. "Will?"
The former outlaw hopped to his feet, expression widening into a grin as he stepped towards the other man. "Jiminy!" Archie felt a similar grin settling onto his own face as he was enveloped in a quick hug which he happily returned. The whole room had gone silent.
Will pulled back after a few moments, hands raised respectfully to show that they were empty. Archie instinctively did the same. Old habits falling easily into place.
"Hey Robin" Will called over his shoulder to the Queens new boyfriend "I'd like you to meet an old friend of mine." A low mumble of conversation buzzed through the room as the leader of the outlaws made his way over to the pair. His look of confusion that was matched by everyone else present who were all watching the exchange with interest. Although Robin hadn't personally met the man, Dr Hoppers reputation was one of an honest and trustworthy fellow, greatly respected throughout the town, how he could have wound up associated with Will Scarlet of all people was baffling.
"Robin of Locksley" Will introduced, oblivious to the scrutiny they were under, or perhaps just unbothered by it. "I'd like you to meet my old mate Jiminy." His grin was wide and excited "the best bloody pickpocket I ever met"
Yes? No? Maybe?
No real plot decided yet. Just a few scenes with their first meeting and maybe an adventure. Not sure on the actual timelines so I'm making it that when Jiminy was a teenager he ran away from home briefly and met Will before Will first went to Wonderland. Time differences between Wonderland and the Enchanted Forest will be thrown in to explain why Will didn't age much either.
