I'm Sorry

Friendships forgotten,

We're hurt and feeling rotten.

A secret spoke,

I couldn't cope.

The link was broken,

Because I'd be spoken.

Anger and pain,

Two side strain.

We shout, we cry,

Sometimes one wants to die.

"Stop fighting!" we both want to scream,

Still remembering that we'd once been a team.

Then we break

Blissful sadness, remembered well,

In the darkness of this Hell.

Cold and shivering,

It means we're still living.

Pride is slashed and left to bleed.

We had never bothered to heed,

The shadowed truth in out hears,

That begins when a friendship starts.

Why were we fighting?

No one knows.

All this pain in our hearts,

Like poison darts,

Should not last,

It's all in the past.

I find my friend,

Just around the bend.

And say just two words…

I'm sorry
