Doubt
A poem based on Vampire Knight
For KittyLynn who knows love knows no boundaries.
A twinge of doubt crosses my mind
As you lay in my arms neck bared for me to see.
I wonder if the tablets I've been popping have been enough
Enough to stave my hunger
Once human now no longer
Only a shell of humanity is left
You offer yourself to me
An act of forbidden love
You say you want me
All of me
You ask me to change you
I wonder if that is possible
You
The only one keeping my secret
Wanting to share my pain
My sorrow
I cannot live like this
I grab my weapon from my holster
With one last breath
I wish you goodbye
You're asleep
You barely hear a sound
I close my eyes
And fade to black.
