Time of Need
The moon hung limply in the foggy London night sky. Snug in the middle of town, laid a Pie shop.
Mrs.Lovett's pie shop. And above that pie shop, was a barber shop. Mr.Todd stood in the small torn up room, allowing his crazed thoughts to get to him.
The common sight of blood began to scare him. He'd had countless dreams of drowning in the blood of all that he slayed. And it would darn right be enough blood. He lay sprawled across the floor, razor still in hand. He hadn't even bothered cleaning the now blackened blood off of his precious blade.
He laid there blankly staring at the ceiling, It's wallpaper torn at many points. He felt his body shake from the coldness, and his mind kept at such an uncomfortable uneasiness, that there was a large throb stuck in his throat. He felt as if his head were to explode.
He had been in filthy London for more then a year, and that judge still took up wasted place in this town. He felt no comfort where he lay, but there was still one person that could comfort him. Very little, but it was still comfort.
He shakily lifted himself off of the cold wooden floor, his stomach completely empty from the many previous days that he refused to eat. His body was extremely weak, he dropped his blade, and it clattered to the floor.
He took a few deep breathes and stumbled to the door, and clumsily went down the stairs, clinging to the flimsy railing. From the sight of any common person walking the streets this late, he would have looked like a common drunk. He threw himself at the door for support, once he reached the bottom of the steps. Walking with his hands traveling over the counter, but when he found nothing else to grab onto, he fell onto the ground.
He lied there for a moment before crawling to Mrs, Lovett's room. Once he reached the side of her bed, he reached out and grabbed her arm, weakly tugging at it. She slowly woke, and then gasped at the sight of Mr. Todd.
" Mr.Todd what's wrong? " She asked, alarmed. " Nothing, love. Just help me up. " he said barely above a whisper. She helped him up to her bedside.
" Don't take me for a fool Mr. Todd, what's wrong? " Her tone of voice was filled with concern. His eyes drooped a bit as he watched her.
" I'm just feeling a bit weak love. Uneasy. " He let his body fall over, and his body relax on the soft linen sheets. It was much different from the cold harden floor he was use to.
She shook her head and straightened out his body, then walking to the other side of the bead, she made herself comfortable. She stared up at the ceiling for a while.
Her body jumped in shock, as Sweeney shifted his position, burying his head between her neck and shoulder, his arm slithered around her waist.
He knew she'd always be there if he was ever in need, he just never thought the day would come that he would actually need it.
Her blood ran cold, and then grew warmer in an instant. It wasn't long before she relaxed, and placed her arm around his face, softly stroking his cheek. The feel of his warm breath blowing on her neck sent shivers down her spine.
" It's alright love, I'm here. I'll always be here. "
