This is the sequel to Zax-happy new year. It's not necessary to read that first but does help with the story line. The first chapter is quite short and mostly fluff just to introduce this fanfic. Please review. Xxxx
Finally the black Audi TT passed the Welcome To Brighton sign. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and Max and Zoe were smiling.
The journey from Holby had been a long one. The M25 was gridlocked most of the way but eventually they'd made it.
Zoe had googled a hotel and made a booking. Now they just had to locate it in a city neither of them had ever been to.
"Max I think you need to turn right here." Zoe said, desperately trying to make sense of the map on her phone.
"But it says it's a dead end." Max argued back, getting more and more annoyed, not helped by the angry honks of other driver's horns.
"What about that road?" Zoe suggested, she too was getting slightly annoyed, it was nearing five o'clock and she was hoping they'd reach the hotel before it got dark.
"It's one way," her fiancée replied, "give me the phone." He held out his hand outstretched. "Zoe, why have you got a map of Brighton, Australia on here?"
"Oh." Was all she could manage as a reply. Max laughed it off but she knew that deep down he was probably quite annoyed at her.
"Are you sure you booked a hotel in England Zo?" He asked, hopefully it was the map in the wrong place, not the hotel.
"Yes, Prince's Marine Hotel, Brighton, England." She replied. She really hoped it was.
Max retyped the address into Zoe's phone. They waited in silence while it loaded.
"Well, thank God, it's just around the corner." Max exclaimed when Zoe's phone finally connected. They both breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Just a couple of minutes later the black Audi TT has been safely parked and its passengers were dragging a couple of suitcases through the doors of the hotel. Zoe and Max walked over to the reception.
"Hello, we have a booking under the name Walker." Zoe said to the friendly looking receptionist.
"Of course, here are your keys, your room is on the second floor, breakfast is served from 7 until 11 am." She replied, in a perfectly manicured tone, almost as if she were a robot.
"Thank you." The happy couple replied harmoniously, linking arms and strolling over towards the lift.
"I love you." Max told Zoe as they stepped into the lift.
"I love you too." She replied.
