Remus Lupin was surprised by the missive requesting his presence at the Headmaster's office during the summer months but not worried. Just the day previously he had gotten his Hogwart's letter for his fifth year and a prefect's badge and he didn't believe his station at Hogwart's could change literally overnight. No, he was more so curious than worried. After all, it isn't every day one gets a letter personally addressed from the Headmaster of Hogwarts himself.
So now he arrived at the gate of Hogwarts to be met by a Professor McGonagall who welcomed him before leading him through the halls of Hogwarts to the eagle statue which guarded the entrance to the Headmaster's office. Professor McGonagall pursed her lips but spoke the password, 'ice mice', clearly irate at having to say such a childlike password. Never the less, the statue began to turn and they both stepped onto the swirling staircase and waited as it deposited them in front of a large sturdy door.
It swung open and Remus couldn't stop himself from blurting out, "Lilly?"Sure enough, standing directly before was one red head by the name of Lilly Evans, fellow Gryffindor and fifth year to-be. "What are you doing here?" He questioned.
"I have a meeting with the Headmaster." She responded, "What are you doing here?"
At that moment the headmaster chose to make an appearance, "I invited you both here, Miss Evans." He stated before directing his attention to his deputy headmistress, "Minerva, if you would go fetch our two guests?" Professor McGonagall gave a severe nod but promptly turned and strode out of the office.
"Sit, sit," The headmaster commanded. Jumping as two armchairs were conjured, both Lily and Remus fell into their chairs. "Right," The headmaster exclaimed, clapping his hands with his eyes twinkling, "You are both wondering why you are here, correct?
