Author's note: Hey, have you noticed yet that "The Fann Girls" is the only story of mine that's ever exceeded three chapters? I have plans for "Animal Crackers," so I plan to change that eventually, but I have to wait until I get a review for my latest chapter of that story first.

Remember when reviewing: Be 100% honest, even if it means flaming.

How to read this fic: Every chapter title will start with a letter, in parentheses. That means that the chapter will be written from that Sonic character's point of view. This chapter, for example, will be from Amy's point of view.

Chapter 1: (A) Catch-up and Mustard

--

It was another day in Station Square. I had chased Sonic around the city for so long I had memorized his daily schedule. Around now he was headed for the gym to practice his moves.
I immediately got dressed and dashed out into the streets. A left turn here, and a right turn there, and I finally reached the gym after a few minutes.
Now, even though we're the same species (hedgehog), I can't run nearly as fast as Sonic can. Normally it takes about 30 seconds for him to run the same distance I ran.
I opened the door and asked the desk clerk where Sonic had gone. "Oh, he didn't come here today," the clerk said. "He's at the doctor's for his 50,000-mile checkup."
Duh! I had forgotten that he was due for his 50,000-mile checkup today! "Thanks anyway," I said as I left and headed for the doctor's office.
As I approached the hospital door, Sonic rushed out, nearly leaving me in a dust cloud. I chased after him the best I could, but he lost me.
Sighing, I sat down on the curb. That's when I noticed the sign on the window of the sporting goods store that was across the street. My eyes lit up.
"Rocket Engine Roller Skates, the fastest kind of inline blading on the planet! Marked down 50%! Ask store manager for details," the sign said.
That was all I needed to see. I crossed the street, being careful not to get in the way of cars, and entered the sporting goods store to inquire about these roller skates.
A few minutes later, I left the store with a roller skate on each foot. I was wearing a gas tank on my back like a backpack, and I had a watch that displayed the gas gauge.
I reached back and pulled the rip cord. Nothing happened. I checked the gas gauge, and saw why; I had forgotten to fill up the gas tank! Silly me!
Immediately I skated over to a nearby gas station and checked the pumps. The roller skates took unleaded fuel, so I filled up the gas tank and paid with my credit card.
Now that my watch said the tank was fuel, I pulled the rip cord. The skates started up, and I took off. My destination: the Station Square diner. Sonic always goes there after escaping me.

Yeah, short chapter. I have to end it so I can change the point of view. Multiple points of view can really liven up the story, as demonstrated in Sonic Adventure 2. Now, about those reviews...
