A Dark Fairytale

Preface

It all started on a cool, rainy afternoon... their day began like it always did. One went out to stop crimes, the other one went out to commit them. The one

that committed them had known for sometime about his attraction to her, yet had done nothing about it. He had written it off as part of the rush he got

from committing a crime...nothing more nothing less... yet it still seemed to get to him every time he would see her face whether it was on the news or in

person at a battle. As for her, it had taken quite some time before she realized what she was experiencing was an emotion... and even more was the

shocking fact that it was felt towards a thief nonetheless.

They both knew it was dangerous, what they were feeling and dealing with. It was more than just playing with fire...it was like holding the world's fate in

their hands or at least the city's fate for that matter. Her emotions were not to be handled carelessly, they could be more destructive than a bomb itself.

he knew this yet still took the risk to get closed to her. He always knew exactly what put her on the edge of certain destruction, but he never pushed her

over. She knew what he did to her and at first she had tried to stop him. She yelled at him, screamed at him, told he was a low life for sneaking into a girls

room, yet every night He would come in through her window and watch her while she slept or talk to her, when she let him, unknowingly protecting her

from herself and other things that were hell bent on destroying her fragile , finally, the day came that she accepted the fact he was in her

life whether she liked it or not, for the time being at least, and there was no one and nothing that could stop him. He didn't realize at first, or believe it

either, that she had decided to let her emotions take over for the first time, in a long time. When she started to let him in on her own accord or start the

conversations, or even when she started to confide in him about her terrible recurring nightmares that only seemed to come to her when he wasn't there

with her at night watching over her while she slept, he was shocked. at first he didn't do anything to show that he realized she had changed her opinion

on their feeling toward each other, and she immediately recoiled thinking that she had misinterpreted what he felt for her. He noticed though what was

happening and slowly but `surely he started to show her and help her see that he truly loved her, and what they felt for each other was natural, not

something that they needed to try to fix or push away. The moment they both accepted what they felt for each other it became as easy as breathing, and

life was good for the time being, but lurking deep within the shadows was a evil waiting to be let lose and it's time, had finally come...
