I"ll See You Soon Kouta

Lucy…

Is that really my name?

Where am I going to go?

Kouta…

Do you think of me?

Do you still love me?

Did you ever love me?

On the other hand, that could have just been my wish…

Am I good enough to wish?

Am I good enough to dream?

Am I even good enough to hope?

Kouta…

I am so sorry…

If I could start my life over, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would do anything for you Kouta. I am so sorry for making you hurt. I wish I could take your pain away. I wish I could bring you true happiness, something I will never have…

Someday Kouta, I will see you again…

I will return to Kaede home, I will knock on the front door…

And you will be there…

Smiling…

Someday Kouta…someday…

The sounds of the bullets were loud in the night. The bright lights blinded the stars from shining brightly.

"KEEP FIRING! KILL HER!" A sickening crunch, gurgle and splat sounded next to the commander as he focused on firing. His finger released the trigger as blood spattered on his face and arm.

He glanced to the side, to see the man next to him, but he had already been ripped to pieces. Blood and bone scattered and spread across the black road.

Pain…blood…darkness…

He saw nothing else as his body was torn to shreds.

"Si-" his heart was missing before he could get the call out.

"You stupid bitch." another soldier cursed. He yelled as he furiously pulled the trigger on his gun. He did not feel anything as his fingers were, one by one, ripped from his hand. A blood-curdling scream ripped from his throat as the gun fell to the hard ground, and his knees buckled from under him. "Oh God it hurts, it hurts!" His cries went unheard as his fellow soldiers fell all around him.

So much blood…

It hurts…

I'm bleeding…

I cannot die here…

Not now…

I have to see him…

I have to go home…

Kouta…

"Cease fire! Cease fire!"

"Sir?"

"The target is down." The second in command stated. He turned to a soldier that was a few feet behind him. "You," He pointed to him, "Go check her out."

"M--me--me?" the soldier stuttered.

"Now, that is an order."

"Y--ye--yes, sir." The soldier cautiously walked away from the others, minding where he walked. He took special attention not to step on any of his blood soaked, fallen comrades.

"I can't believe I'm doing this. This is insane. There is only five of us left…she killed twenty-seven of us in less than ten minutes. I can't believe this." The soldier whispered beneath his breadth. No one would know it, but he was about to piss his pants.

"Well?" the second in command called from where he stood. "Is she dead?"

"I--" the soldier bent down and felt for a pulse on the young woman with two broken horns. "I--I--"

"She's still alive!" As the words left the second in commands mouth the head of the soldier rolled for several feet before coming to a stop, blood was following it.

The beheaded body of the soldier was thrown just as the soldiers raised their guns to continue fire.

Two of them were knocked down.

The gunfire in the air lasted only eight seconds.

"So much blood fills this battle field. So much blood and death and pain…" the young woman with two broken horns covered the bullet wound on the side of her forehead. The bullet had grazed her forehead leaving a bloody wound. She fell to her knees, her short hair blowing slightly in the wind.

Blood flowed freely from her torso. "So much blood, so much pain and death and darkness…will there ever be something better in this world?"

Kouta…

Please…

Please…

Please…

Do not forget about me…

You are the only light I have left to hold on to…

You are the last hope that fills my dark world…

Please, Kouta, my love, do not forget…
