Ken walked into Davis' apartment. They were supposed to play video games, but Ken was a little early, and so far Ken didn't see him.
"Davis?" Ken called again, but nothing.
Suddenly, Ken heard something. It sounded like it came from Jun's room. Jun was in college now, but he knew she left a lot of stuff there.
Ken decided he needed to investigate the scene.
On his way, he heard music start.
"'Hi Barbie.' 'Hi Ken!'..." Ken froze. Was Davis really listening to the "Barbie Girl" song?
Suddenly he heard Davis' voice along with the music...
"I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world..."
He started walking again, slowly. He couldn't understand why Davis would be singing that song, especially from Jun's room.
Finally, Ken reached the room, and slowly peeked inside.
He couldn't believe what he saw...
Davis was in one of Jun's blue dresses! In high heels, and wearing a bra.
Davis was facing the other way, so he had no idea, and kept singing and dancing.
"You can touch... You can play... you can say, I'm always yours... I love you Ken!"
Ken's ears perked up. ...Unfortunately... he knew the words to the song, and though 'I love you Ken' IS part of the song, it's the very last part of the song.
Ken kept watching while Davis was singing while looking at himself in the mirror.
When the song ended, he once again, with the song, said "I love you Ken!"
But after that, Davis said something else, and Ken couldn't believe it.
"I really love you, Ken Ichijouji. I know that if you saw me right now, you would think I was crazy, but I just know you are straight and a gay guy like me doesn't have a chance. Still... I wish I could tell you... I'd... I'd be your barbie girl if I had to."
Ken was having very mixed emotions.
He had feelings for Davis, and was extremely happy to hear that Davis loved him too, and they could be together.
But...
Currently that happiness was being overruled by Davis saying that he'd be his Barbie Girl.
He was going to explode with laughter, and that wouldn't lead to anything good!
So, as quietly as he could, he got back out of the apartment as fast as he could, and once he was down the hall enough, he literally fell to the floor, pounding his fists on the floor, crying with laughter from the sight he saw, and Davis' comment.
At some point, he would regain his composure and go back in, but he hoped that Davis wouldn't be wearing a dress anymore.
