The world meeting had ended early today, mainly due to the fact that Alfred and Amelia had suddenly ran from the building screaming something about a ghost from their past coming back for revenge. This was a problem since, as the Country hosting the meeting he was supposed to be in the building during the meeting. Frustrated and confused by the America twins actions, the other's began to leaving the building. Except Arthur Kirkland, who being used to spirits and ghosts decided to stay behind.

Not long after other countries had left, Arthur heard the sound of foot steps. He was unable to tell where they were coming from, only hat they were getting closer. Suddenly, a ghostly pale young woman with long silvery gold hair stepped out from the shadows.

"Good afternoon Arthur. Do you remember who I am, or rather who I was?" she said, her voice little more than a faint whisper.

Arthur stepped back and looked around. Was it his creative mind deceiving him again? Or was it truly her? She looked so familiar and yet... "You're Alfred's sister... Annabel, aren't you?"

she nodded her head and replied, "Yes father"

He felt a slight twinge of pain in his chest when she called him father. "you... you were the Confederacy, correct?" he asked, his voice quiet.

she stared at him sadly with her spooky lifeless eyes for a moment, then she nodded "yes, I was"

He could feel the tears which were threatening to fall from his eyes as he realized that she was truly a ghost. "... look what they did to you... such a sweet girl that was mislead..." he spoke like a father that was at his child's funeral. "my little girl..."

"Do not blame them father. It is not their fault. I'm the one who started te war. If it were not for Alfred and Amelia, I probably would not be alive any more."

"I know... but look at you..." he spoke with pain in his voice. "I never wanted to see any of my children like this.." He hesitantly reached out to touch her cheek.

"I'm sorry father" tears slowly ran down her ghostly pale cheeks

upon seeing this he started to panic, tears streaming down his own cheeks. "C-can I hold you? I need to know..." he hesitated still before finally getting his hand close enough to touch her, not knowing whether he would be able to feel her or not.

"Father, it's alright. I am real. You can touch me."

Arthur whimpered, quickly going over to her and hugging her tightly, not wanting to ever let her go. "I-I can't believe I didn't stop them from doing this to you..."

Feeling the warmth of the hug against her ice cold skin, she shook her head. " No body knew this would happen to me. It's is not your fault father."

"I still could have protected you... What kind of a father am I ?" He kept her close, holding her like a fragile doll. " I'll love you no matter what sweet heart, because you will always be my little girl."

"Thank you father." For the first time since the civil war there was a spark of life and warmth in her eyes.

"There's no need for thanks. That's what a good father does. He loves his children no matter what." He said, his eyes stained with tears. As he said this, he placed a warm hand upon her cold cheek.

"father, I've missed you." She said, hugging him just as she had when se was a child.

His breath caught in his throat as she said this, trying to stop himself from crying. "I-I've missed you too"

An expression of joy spread upon his face when he saw what happened next. For the first time since the civil war, Annabel was able to smile a smile that truly appeared happy.
