The Pain In Hey Eyes

Garnet is tortured by her friends, who are under the control of Black Diamond. After running away, she uncovers an ancient temple inhabited by...nothing. When she investigates further, she discovers a dark keystone harboring a peculiar gem. After it regenerates, Garnet is faced with and old friend that she had once tried to protect from...her own team. Rated T for language & gore.

-Garnet P.O.V-

I watched in horror as my friends approach me, weapons drawn and faces fixed in unsettling grins. I began to summon my gauntlets, but Amethyst's whip tied my arms, making my gemstones clank together painfully. Pearl walked forwards and pushed me down on my knees. Then she began caressing my hips. "No! Please no! You're all better than this! What's happening to all of you?!" I screamed. Steven approached me and began to cut me with his shield mercilessly.

"Ah! Please, Steven! Stop! GAAH!" I felt the cold metal of the shield slit my throat. I fell over, choking on my own blood. Pearl took out her spear and dug it into my back, drawing more blood.

Amethyst untied my wrists and lapped the blood gushing from the wounds made by the gemstones in her whip. I shuddered and cried out. The purple gem then lashed out with a second whip, ripping through the delicate fabric of my body suit, leaving a bleeding rope burn. "Please! Stop!" I begged. I stared at my torn gloves. BOTH of my gemstones were cracked. I gazed at them with my hands shaking.

Then Pearl's spear came full circle and hit me in the face, knocking my visor off my eyes. My purple eye had been slashed over, so I couldn't see what was going to happen next.

I felt it inside of me. Ruby and Sapphire. They were scared, afraid of death. I braced myself for the final blow, but the other gems just stood there, their white eyes locked on me. Just when I thought they were going to charge, they collapsed. Not wasting any time, I ran as fast as I could to the warp pad. I fell down on its crystallized surface, choking and crying. I saw the others get up and run towards me, but the warp pad activated just in time. I was lifted in the air, and the evil gems disappeared from sight.

I was finally safe.

-Steven P.O.V-

"Why did Garnet run away from us like that?" I asked Pearl and Amethyst. They looked at the warp pad, looked at me, then looked back at the warp pad. "I have no idea…" Amethyst muttered.

"But did you see her wounds?! What on earth could've - oh…oh no…" Pearl's voice faded to a small cry as she stared at her weapon. It was covered in some sort of purplish-blue fluid. I looked at my shield. It was covered in the same fluid, and so was Amethyst's whip. The peculiar fluid was trailed all over the floor and meandered in different directions.

Directly towards the warp pad.

"W-What?! What did we do?!" I screamed, tears falling from my eyes. Pearl's light blue irises locked with my dark brown. "I'm afraid we did something terrible. Unforgivable."
