all fall down

Nothing.
He felt nothing as he shot past yet more people – allies, villagers, old comrades – nothing.
Perfect; he had succeeded in becoming the ultimate shinobi no less. No emotions, a monstrous capacity of power, and having the intent to kill came as easy as breathing.

"It's Uchiha Sasuke!"
"Stop him!"

This would be the last revenge. The sole source of why his family was dead. He was left alone in the world now.
No mother.
No father.
No brother.
Familiar faces flitted in and out of his view as he raced through the now bloodily damned Konoha streets.
Down.
Down.
Down.
One by one, they fall.
Until two are left. They are perhaps, the oldest amidst Konoha society, but influential and powerful – these elders the ones who have stripped him of a family and a normal life.
They take longer than the others – although it is expected of the teammates of the former Sandaime. They work well together, fighting and battling at each other's wavelength.

"Teme! You take that half! I can handle this!"
"I know."
"Sakura-chan, take him to a safe place!"
"Got it!"

But then they crumble.
At least they die together.
Despite his conscience, he lays their broken bodies side by side.
And then… they appear.
"SASUKE!"
"Sasuke-kun!"
Has he been expecting this? Maybe. He uses his all. This is probably his last fight, after all.
He doesn't touch her though, even though she's doing the exact opposite and surprising him with her years of training.
He grits his teeth.
She was made for protecting and healing, not attacking.
Whatever power he has left, he faces Naruto.
This moron better survive.
And Sasuke can see him – this man – Hokage one day, Sakura by his side, a family even, and acceptance from the whole village.
He doesn't have much energy left. His insides are eating him out from the last battle with the other last Uchiha, which hopefully secured Konoha's peace and Naruto's future even by a little bit. He takes the final, crushing blow.
"SASUKE-KUN!"
Does he want to die? No.
He doesn't really have a choice.
But then –
"Hang in there, Sasuke-kun!"
"Teme, teme! Answer me!"
They're here. His only remaining family -
She has given up healing him. The warmth of the green surge of power is gone. Instead he feels tears on his blood-stained cheeks, warm human hands stroking through his hair and palming his cheek. Slightly rougher hands shake his shoulders non-stop, telling him to WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!
and Sasuke decides,
dying like this…it's fine.
