Mai groaned as she woke up from her dreamless sleep and glanced over at the alarm clock on her bed side table.
Her eyes widened.
"Damn! Naru's gonna kill me!" Mai jumped up and run around her room getting ready. She wore a white tank top with a sliver cross design on it paired with a blue short sleeved hoodie, black jean shorts, knee legnth white socks and low black converse. She also braided her now long brown hair. It had been a year since Naru had come back from England and Mai had started working for him again.
"Damn it all! I'm not gonna make it!" She yelled and raced out of her apartment and towards the SPR building 'Damn my sleeping habits!' She shouted in her mind, she raced up the stairs and slammed the door open "I'm here!" She frantically put her coat on the hook.
"Late as usual I see" Naru glared at Mai from the sofa where everyone except Yasu was seated.
"I have my reasons you jerk!" Mai glared back sticking out her tongue.
"She probably forgot how to wake up, she's that stupid after all" Masako snickered from behind her Kimono sleeve.
"Why you-" Mai was just about ready to insult Masako back but was held back by Monk who stepped in-between the two.
"Now, now girls, we don't want a cat fight in the middle of the office" Monk grinned then a 'Thwack' sound was heard and Monk was on the floor holding his head in pain
"Stop being a pervert you old man!" Ayako yelled with her trusty purse in hand
"You don't need to hit me you old hag!" Monk whined which of course started another argument between the two
"This is a work place not a playground, if you want to act childish I suggest you leave" Naru's voice sounded as cold as ever as he glared at everyone in the room except, of course, Lin. Everyone shut up at his glare. "Now that's settled, the reason why I have called you all here is because we have a new case, Mai will explain the details to you as I have work to do" With that both him and Lin headed inside their office with Mai muttering something about 'Narcissistic jerks' and 'please' "Oh and Mai?" Naru called from his office
"I know, i know, tea" Mai grumbled as she could almost feel the smirk coming from Naru as she glared at the door separating them.
'She's so cute when she's angry, I love seeing her reaction to my comments' Masako thought as she grinned behind her Kimono sleeve
