First off, these characters do not belong to me, they belong to jackalope21, who wrote an absolutely AMAZING Sky High fanfic. This is a fanfic of their fanfic, so before you read mine, read theirs. It's called A True Hero Born From Fire. Go read it. Now. Then come back and read mine. It'll make a lot more sense.

Little Aryana Gehenna was crying.
Those mean, mean people wouldn't let her wake her mommy up. They said she was never coming back, but she was right there! She was just sleeping!
Aryana cried harder, squirming, desperately trying to escape, but they wouldn't let her.
Suddenly, she felt a strange pull in the opposite direction, and she immediately stopped struggling.
Relieved hands loosened their grip, and she was gone. Running in the direction of the pull.
She was soaring, she was a wild mustang roaming free in the plains, she was the wind of a storm; she was free.
She ran, and then she was downtown; chaos, destruction, madness, red.
A man, no, a devil in the middle. She didn't know how, but she just knew he was her dad.
"Daddy!" she cried, a desperate plea for comfort in one word.
He had been fighting someone, seconds from tearing their throat out, when he heard his daughter's faint cry. The daughter he never saw and they wouldn't let him see.
Throwing the person from him, he ran towards her, scooped her up, and hugged her tight.
Those present were shocked. This was a side of the Red Devil they had never seen before.
Soft. Caring. Vulnerable.
"Where's mommy?" he asked, holding the sobbing girl close.
"B- back there, they- they wouldn't let me wake her up. S- she's just sleeping, right?" the little girl sobbed, barely able to get the words out.
"I think so Aryana, I think so," he held the girl to him tighter, seeing those blasted heroes coming closer.
"Aryana, I want you to know I love you," he said softly, urgently, wanting his little girl to understand.
"I- I love you too," she replied, looking at her dad, who she had only known for the past few minutes.
And then strong hands were pulling her away, away from her daddy. The man she didn't want to leave.
"No! Daddy! Daddy! Let me GO! DADDY!" she shrieked, shattering any remaining glass as she did.
So desperate to be back in her dad's strong, warm, comforting embrace; she did what she had never done before, the jellyfish. She went completely limp and wriggled her way out of those hands keeping her from her daddy. She sprinted towards him, but someone caught her around the middle.
"AHHHHH! LET ME GO, LET ME GO, LET ME GO!"
Her anger built to the point of no return.
Her nails began to grow into claws, her eyes went black, and she screamed once more, but this time in pain.
Something was happening to her and it hurt, she didn't like it one bit.
"HELP!"
Her dad, who had transformed again and was fighting viciously once more, looked over his shoulder to see his baby girl beginning to transform. She was too young; he slashed his way through to his little girl, now separated from everyone else, a wall of flame had surrounded her.
He easily walked through the flames and gathered her in his arms. He rocked her to a deep sleep, preventing her from transforming.
Flames surrounded the two the entire time as he took her to a tree, far from the fighting, set her down gently under it, turned back around, and then calmly walked away to meet his unavoidable death.
