Chapter 1- Women dou he Kafei (we all drink coffee)
Libo, Linna, Dawei, Song Hua and his brother had a rare afternoon where they were all free and Linna wasn't busy entertaining half the population of Beijing in her bedroom so they went out to a coffee shop.
"Libo, what do you want to drink" Dawei asked, the taller man tended to argue when he tried to pay for anything but in a group it would be more difficult to do it.
"Erm, I don't know. Song Hua what are you drinking?"
Dawei smiled as everyone started speaking in English. Lin Na's Chinese voice had been grating on him for the past six months and he was just about ready to slap her about the face so Dawei wasn't making an effort to encourage her speaking it when he didn't have class and was sticking firmly to English.
Songhua looked at the menu then to his brother who announced that he'd like to drink coffee
"Ooh, I'd also like to drink coffee" Piped up Lin Na who was pretending she hadn't been eyeing up the man behind the counter "How about you Libo?" He just smiled and nodded, the coffee here was Libo's favourite so it wasn't much of a choice.
"Good, so everybody wants coffee?" Songhua's brother asked as he reached the front of the queue
"We'll all drink coffee!"
Dawei just closed his eyes for a moment unable to believe that even when they spoke in English they managed to have such ridiculous conversations.
AN/ Hi! So I've finally started typing up the drabbles I've been writing during Chinese class… and yes I'm writing Dawei/Libo and Linna/ Everyone because it's better that way.
