Twilight Hours

The time between day and night had it's own beauty and both Vladimir and Natalya were drawn to such a time. Mornings had their peace, afternoons their brightness and warmth, evenings their rest and quiet, but twilight had a magic about it. Both of the nations felt drawn to such a time where the different part of life seemed more alive and active.

Vladimir over the years had come to associate such hours to Natalya. The grace and power that was hidden behind her beautiful face was all the more evident to him in those times when magic seemed to be more awake. She was more than just a woman or nation in his mind, she was an Empress or Queen that ruled over the twilight hours that seemed to be reflected in her eyes. The cool strength Belarus had was something he could watch always, and yet the moments of her wit and humor where she let herself relax around him would be even more precious to him.

For Natalya her time near sunrise and sunset held such potential promise in what may or may not come next. The world held more possibilities at such a time when things where in the flux of changing from one state to another. She had found another who seemed to find the beauty of it all. Her time with Vladimir watching the day become something else had been something she had grown fond of. While she had not expected to grow closer to the occasionally odd nation to the south of her she would admit to herself she enjoyed moments where they could stop and watch the world together.

Whether magic or just the potential of new things such moments had brought the two together more over the years. What had started as sometimes running into eachother while out to enjoy this near sacred time to them had become planning to spend these moments together. Little by little getting to know one another better, becoming closer and wanting to spend more time together . It was slow process neither rushing moments, one in fear of driving the other away the other wanting to be sure before making such a step.

What had started as two nation nations enjoying such mystic times together yet separate had become a couple enjoying their quiet moments with one another. Perhaps it was not the most colorful or big romance but it was one that worked for them. They reveled in the joy and comfort that the other brought into their life. The soft warm glow of the twilight sky, that is what they gave to one another. Not a scorching light that could not be looked at or touched or a pale light that washed away color,. The sun and moon romances could be saved for others as long as they were given their dusks by the others side.
