"Dylan! Get off!" Zoe shouted at her friend as he rummaged through bloodied clothes and rags on the floor in RESUS. He recovered a stained checklist and attempted to remove the crumples. Connie slowly approached RESUS and opened the door.

"Somebody get him out of here." She looked at Dylan as he face appeared blank and emotionless. He usually didn't show emotion but this time he looked truly blank. She stormed out of RESUS. Dylan stood up and put the piece of paper in his pocket.

"Dylan. Get out." Zoe looked at him and held the patients leg as Dylan wiped his hands on his shirt and left RESUS. He walked into the staff room and stared at the ceiling as he threw his stethoscope onto the floor. He stood there for 20 minutes until Zoe walked into the room and stood beside him. "Dylan. Talk to me. What's going on? You can't block me out anymore. You're not allowed to block me out anymore. Talk to me Dylan."

"No. I don't want to talk." He closed his eyes and grabbed his bag and jacket. "I need to leave. I'm sorry Zoe. I'm a disappointment."

"Dylan?" He walked out of the staff room slowly as Zoe over took him and walked into the reception area ahead of him. Her fiancé, Max, approached her and went to speak when she shook her head, placed a hand on his chest and faced the double doors. Dylan walked passed Zoe and Max without even looking at them. Then he walked towards the exits as everyone turned around one by one.

"But she needs..." Cal stared at Lofty which made him stop what he was saying. Cal's eyes rolled towards Dylan as Lofty slowly tuned to look at the man in his 30's who was walking through reception with someone else's blood soaked into his shirt. Lofty slowly walked out into the middle of the corridor and Dylan became nearer to the exit. He pushed the doors with his hand and left.

"Dylan?!" Lofty walked outside as everyone began working again. Dylan carried on walking and stopped at a bench where he dropped his bag and sat down. He just stared forwards. Lofty sat beside him cautiously and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Talk to me. You can talk to me, Doctor Keogh."

"I think I'm broken. I can't feel anything. I can't be happy. I can't be sad." A lonely tear streamed down his flustered cheeks without him even batting an eyelid. Lofty smiled slightly.

"You must feel something. You don't cry for nothing." Dylan's face suddenly changed into the face of a broken soul. He looked so sad and terrified at the same time. More tears streamed down his cheek, racing one another to his jawline.

"I don't know what to do, Ben. I'm so alone. I'm scared of what I'm becoming. I'm turning into a freak. I'm obsessing over every little thing. I'm lost, Lofty. I'm lost." Lofty's eyes began to appear glased as he put his arm around Dylan. The emotionless Doctor Dylan Keogh started to open up about his feelings.

"Dylan, hey. It's okay. Calm down." All of a sudden, Lofty felt overwhelmed by the emotion and began to cry himself. His friend was upset. More than upset - distraught. And he knew that he had to be there for him.

"Ben? Why did your follow me outside? I'm covered in blood, I'm a freak and I put a patients life at risk. So tell me; why do you care?" Dylan looked at Lofty as he waited for a verbal reply. Instead, he received a gentle kiss on the cheek.

"Because I care about you. Is that not enough?" Lofty smiled slightly as Dylan caressed his cheek and kissed his lips. Lofty placed his hand on the back of Dylan's head as Dylan felt Lofty's curls.

"Nobody has ever cared for me enough to see my emotional side. Think yourself lucky." Dylan smirked at Lofty as their lips touched again.
