AN: I know I haven't updated in like forever but I promise I will over the summer. I am still working on family of fifty. I got the wicked soundtrack and I love the songs. I am going to try to get this story finished before July 4th, so I hope you enjoy.

New York sat on the edge of the stage waiting as the rest of the states finished their discussion and gave him their attention. The room grew silent as he cleared his throat.
"Thank you for coming, I know we never meet here but there's a special announcement. As you all know Alfred's birthday is three months away. I talked with a couple of other states and we thought this year it would be nice to give him a present from all of us."
Whispers broke out but were soon silenced. Everyone waited for New York to continue.
"We are going to put on a musical. Now I know we discussed this before and could never agree on any thing. I want to do lion king, no we want phantom of the opera, no Mary Poppins. Well this time I chose and it's something every one can agree on."
"We are going to put on..." He paused to make a dramatic effect.
"Wicked"
