Last feeling
He was falling. Or, he was being thrown into empty space. He wasn't thinking of this. He had no time to think. Only to feel emotions—the guilt, longing for happiness and something else. Was it…emptiness? Yes , the emptiness. The anger once burning inside of him had disappeared, replaced by this horrid feeling. He wanted to cry, just to let it go, but he knew that if he did it wouldn't help. It was engraved in his soul. This…was he losing his sanity? No, it was a deep understanding that the termination of his life was almost here.
He shifted his right wing slightly and looked up. Nova floated there, lifeless, only a short distance away. It was his turn, now, to join it. He would forever be in people's memories as evil without a chance for redemption. Maybe if he was lucky he'd get a legend or two. He felt a sharp pain in his side. It was a piece of Nova that hit him. He closed his eyes and screamed because of a pain much more intense than the physical one he just felt. The hate, not for anyone else, but for himself. It wasn't their fault, he realised, that he was despised no matter where he went. It was his own. His soul was an empty pit of darkness and it would never change, even if he tried as hard as he could to be nice. Cold. That would be how you describe it. Fake, maybe.
His head crashed into Nova first. Then an electric shock went through his body. It was the end and he'd caused it himself. It was all his fault. Everything. And this was just what he deserved.
Author's note: Did Dokeshisan really write this? Yes, and on Christmas day too. Such sadness…darn, it is pretty short though. I hope it's as good as I want it to be (about 5.2 on the 1-10 depressing scale)! Please review!
