Christine POV

"Make your choice" Erik whispered to me. I looked back at all my decisions I had made. None. I was forced. Forced into this lair of music; forced into marrying Raoul; and forced to perform against my will with no hopes of being free. I've had enough of decisions forced upon me I picked up his sword knowing that this was truly my own choice. I looked at them both Raoul was having his life squeezed out of him by Erik to be honest this all happened too fast and know I realise that I loved neither of them and whichever decision I made for them would cause them pain "I've made my decision so listen I'm sorry to you both I don't love either of you. I see that know. I won not you. Goodbye Erik, Raoul. I wish the best for you both." I looked at them both and plunged the sword into my heart, knowing this way the fighting would end. I welcomed the sweet musical darkness that was my death...

Narrator POV

The two men stood there staring at her as Erik's rapier pierced her heart. Shocked and bewildered they didn't know it would end this way. Erik had lost. Raoul had lost. Her last words echoing in their minds, Erik nodded "Now she is free, I am sorry; I knew something drastic would happen but I did not expect it from her." He loosed Raoul from the ropes and ran to Christine's corpse she looked happy with her only choice. "Let your soul take flight," Erik sang to her "Enter the darkness of the music of the night." Raoul kissed her head
"She never loved us, she was forced and we caused this entire trauma for her to gain her affections." Raoul said
"Yes it was unnecessary grief that made her choose life and death." Erik nodded
"I am sorry that I tried to kill you it was all about Christine."
"Christine's dead, this war is over. Please leave me, forget this place, you can take her if you wish but let me know when she is buried. I will be waiting for someone in the meantime, who had her talent, and I will do things properly next time, I won't cause all this trouble ever again." Erik stroked her cheek and walked away into his chambers to a hidden passage that lay underneath his bed it would give him some peace until the fire above died out so he could start again the passage lead to outside the Opera Populaire. The police came in with Meg and Madame Giry and others from the Opera they all gasped at the sight. Raoul was taking the sword from Christine's body "What happened?" M. Giry asked.
"She killed herself. She was given a choice to choose him or me. Instead she made a third and killed herself after telling us that she loved neither one of us and wished us the best with our lives." Raoul replied he picked her up and lead the party back outside the Opera so Erik had a chance to get out. But Erik was already out and his home would not be harmed by the fire. Erik once he was out walked along to a quiet place where the river was he carried on walking to the bridge and hid here no one dared come because of all the thieves that supposedly lurked but in truth he had scared them all away so he had a small space for himself outside the Opera Populaire. He sat on a small crate and wept bitterly he realised that he could never be loved but to fall for someone like Christine who played on others emotions turned his tears of regret to hate for women like her. Raoul on the other hand knew that he would not find another like Christine who loved him dearly and he loved her, but to hear that she didn't love him pained his heart more than her suicide. The both wished they could turn back time. Neither knew that Christine already had...
