AN: For the Houses Competition. Prompt was drabbles, Mirror of Erised [Object] and word count is 180 words.

Susan Bones stared into the depths of the Mirror of Erised. She knew instantly what it was when she saw the engraving on the top. Her family was full of first-rate sorcerers- of course she would know about one of the greatest magical objects in the world.

She initially was hesitant to do so, afraid that she might see something that would cause her to obsess, as so many witches and wizards had in the past. But her curiosity won her over and she looked.

Standing around her reflection were her parents, her aunts and uncles, her grandparents, and various cousins that might've been born if it weren't for You-Know-Who. Aunt Amelia even looked happy in her reflection in the mirror.

Susan sighed. She knew it could not come to pass, as necromancy had never worked. She looked down at her hands, wand clenched in them. Her family was full of the greatest sorcerers in the world. What was stopping her from achieving what no else could?

I will resurrect you, she vowed. No matter the cost.
