Filius Flitwick looked around the Great Hall of Hogwarts and sighed. He loved seeing all the students, but he could tell just by looking at the Ravenclaw table that something was up. He could always tell when his house has been up to something that they should not have. He knew because he had been one of them which of course was given since he was the Head of House for Ravenclaw.
He was proud to have been an eagle, which was their house mascot, but that didn't mean that he could not tell when his students had done something that would cause him to have to lecture them. He swept his eyes down the table and frowned when they came to stop on a young girl with blonde hair who he knew was one of his first years. What he saw made his eyes flash in anger and he knew then just what his house had been up to.
He would not stand for anyone bullying another person, but he especially would not stand for someone to bully one of his first years. He knew then that he would not only be lecturing his house tonight, but he would also be taking points from his own house as well as giving detentions to anyone who has bullied the young girl along with those that knew the bullying was going on, but did not do a damn thing to stop it.
He, himself had been bullied when he first came to Hogwarts because of his heritage. He would not stand by and let someone who he knew was different be bullied by their own house. He would make sure that his house knew exactly what the consequences of bullying was just like he let those that bullied him all those years ago know the consequences. Just because he was part Goblin did not mean that he did not know how to use his wand and he showed those that bullied him just what he could do with his wand.
While he would not use his wand with the students in his house he would use his words. He would make them see the error of their ways or they would soon find themselves going home for a week or two to learn from their mistakes. He was not the Headmaster so he would not just idly stand by and watch a little girl get harmed in any way, shape, or form. He also was not Minerva or Severus in allowing their houses to get away with things that they should not. He had a tough stance and he expected his house to follow his words to the letter. There was no way that he was going to ignore the fact that they were blatantly breaking every single rule that he had.
No he would not let the house that he loved fall to the level of two of the other houses. He was better than that. His students was better than that. He would make sure that they did Rowena Ravenclaw proud. He would not allow them to drag her good name and house down and through the mud. He would see the students that were trying to do just that expelled before he let them tarnish Ravenclaw House. He had pride in his old house and he was not about to lose it. He refused to lose the good standing that his old house has earned.
