Hello, hello all! Here's my very first songfic. I probably did it completely wrong. But, I honestly don't care. So, you can deal too. This is my way of writing a song fic. XD Yea, so, still own nothing. Damn. XP Okay...so yea...on with the story. The song I used is 'You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This' by Toby Keith.

I got a funny feeling

The moment that your lips touched mine

Something shot right through me

My heart skipped a beat in time

His date had called out on him at the last second. So when he saw Riza Hawkeye enter the dance hall alone he thought, 'why not?' Jean Havoc approached the blonde. With her hair down and with her wearing a stunning red dress instead of the uniform he normally saw her in, she look more amazing than ever. His blue eyes couldn't have lit up more after she had agreed to his offer of a dance.

It was somewhere inbetween that first dance and their sixth--which they were dancing to now--that the unexpected happened. Jean thought time froze when he felt Riza's lips press against his own. He thought that maybe she had just gotten caught up in the moment be cause she surly hadn't been drinking. Bu as he watched her red yes slowly close, he couldn't help but wonder if it was something more.

There's a different feel about you tonight

It's got me thinking lots of crazy things

I even think I saw a flash of light

It felt like electricity

As he stood there on that dance floor, inter locked with the First Lieutenant, his mind sent thoughts flashing through his head. There was something different about Riza. She wasn't that stern, down to business girl. She didn't seem to rough and demanding. She was relaxed, fun-loving--her true self. Jean liked this side of her. He was happy she had opened up like his to him. He only wished he could see this side of her more often.

No wait. He thought he had to be wrong. This wasn't Riza. Riza didn't see him more than anything but someone she worked with and a friend. He was letting his mind get the better of him. Surly her kiss, the kiss he was involved in right now at this very second, was nothing more than a thank you for spending the evening with her.

You shouldn't kiss me like this

Unless you mean it like that

Cause I'll just close my eyes

And I won't know where I'm at

We'll get lost on this dance floor

Spinning around

And around

And around

And around

But, yet, here Riza was, and there he was. Her lips pressed firmly against his in a long, almost passionate way. Jean knew this was wrong. She shouldn't tease him like this. Slowly, Jean found his eyes shutting and he returned her kiss. Dancing across the dance floor, he thought his moment magical and everlasting. But soon enough, Riza pulled away and rested her head upon his shoulder.

They're all watching us now

They think we're falling in love

They'd never believe we're just friends

When you kiss me like this

I think you mean it like that

If you do baby kiss me again

It was heard not to notice the many pairs of eyes on them now. A look of shock from Breda, a look of awe from Farman, and look of slight embarrassment from Fury, and a rather annoyed look from Mustang himself. It was obvious what they were thinking. It was the same thing Jean was wondering about. 'Was that kiss a true sight of a deeper affection than friendship?' Havoc starred at her now, waiting for answers. A demanding, yet, pleading look in his eyes.

"What is it Lieutenant?" She asked.

"He blinked, flabbergasted. "Riza that….what…was it…."

She placed her finger up to quiet him. "What if it was?" She asked, as if she knew what he was trying to say.

"Kiss me again."
