"Ehmagawd, Kuh-laire, What are you wearing?" Massie seemed to ask nobody, considering Claire was already sitting on her sleeping bad in the cabana, talking to Alicia.
Massie set her black pug, Bean, down on the tan carpet and wiped the black fur off her cashmere sweater.
Massie sat down on the sleeping bag next to Alicia's and exhaled heavily, "Where are Kris and Dyl?" she asked, louder this time to get the attention of her two friends.
Alicia looked up from her latest issue of Teen Vogue, her brown eyes blinked a few times before she said, "I think the made plans with Layne Abeley," she joked, sounding annoyed, though Massie didn't quite understand by the puzzled look that came from her hazel eyes.
"The ditched ME-" she cut herself off," Us, for Luh-ayne?"
"Kidding," Alicia flicked her eyes back down to her magazine.
Just at that moment, Massie's phone lit up.
Dylan-Can't make it 2nite. Explain l8r.
Massie-? Up w/ u not coming?

Massie didn't respond. Her own friend, a fellow member of the Pretty Committee was coming to the annual Friday night sleepover Massie hosted EVERY Friday night.
The room was silent, because nobody dare mess with Massie Block when she was in one of her moods.

Massie was beyond shocked. Now TWO members of her Pretty Committee were MIA.
"They're not coming," Massie spoke down to her designer slippers.
Claire looked up from her Rhine-stoned Keds, it was finally her chance to get further into the PC than she ever had.
"Something's up…" Massie said in her 'They are so D2M' voice.
Something was defiantly 'up'.
Kristen and Dylan were MIA for a reason, and Massie was going to find out what that reason was.
While Alicia continued to flip through the pages of Teen Vogue and Claire was now painting her nails a color Massie lent her months ago, Massie grabbed her Palm Pilot out and wrote…
