Based on Episode 42...kinda sad-ish...and short.

You Said We'd Never Forget

I tried not to break down as I stared at the unmoving body in front of me. His head was bandaged thoroughly and his chest rose just barely and fell again.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered. "This is my fault..."

I felt a comforting hand grasp me and I looked up to see Frankie smiling sadly down on me. "It's not your fault...it was just an accident."

I shrugged her hand off. "It was my fault..."

I stayed at his bedside for the next two weeks, not leaving for anything except the toilet. Which I barely needed because I ate so little. He just laid there, sleeping. He looked calm and serene, like he was having a good dream.

I wish I could be having a good dream.

When he woke up, the feeling that overtook my body could be described lightly as the most happy I'd ever been. His eyes flickered open and looked slightly glazed. I screamed and started hugging him with all my might.

"Huh? What? Who are you?"

That's when my euphoria vanished.

He pushed me away and curled up on the side of his bed, holding his head like he was in pain. The doctors forced me out of the room because they needed to examine him to find out what was wrong.

He had amnesia.

I walked back in the room and a sad expression was blatant on my face, I could tell. He just stared at me in confusion and I sighed.

"Buddy, don't you remember me? It's me, your best friend..."

"I don't have any friends," he muttered.

"Yeah, you do...you have Coco, Wilt, Eduardo, Frankie...me..." None of the names rung a bell in his mind and he just shook his head.

"Whoever you are...please go away."

So I left.

I came back the next day, and nothing was any better. "Buddy, c'mon...I know you're joking, you do remember me!"

He glared. "Whoever you are, get away from me! I don't know you and you keep coming in here!"

"But...Mac...you said you'd always remember...that day, when we had the house to ourselves...you said we were gonna do something we'd remember for the rest of our lives..."

Mac had lied to me that day.

Ok...this is short and slightly rushed, I know. It only took me 15 minutes to type this. Anyways, I got this idea because I saw the episode 42 today, and...well...yeah. Review please, because you guys rock!
