Taken from the sun I love

Taken from the world above

Into a world as black as the night

Into a world hidden from light

The screams of the dead pierce my mind

Memories are the only light I find

Of the wind that still whispers through all of the trees

Where my mother Demeter still cries out her pleas

For my safe return to the light of her love

I can still hear the wind, whispering from above

Here, I am consumed by the darkness of death

A scream from a soul held down to a breath

But these shadows do not instill so much fear

As the dark and cold god that brought me here

His eyes are as black as the shadows he reigns

The ground of this world covered in the stains

Of the death that he caused, the blood that he spilt

And slowly my innocent mind starts to tilt

I start liking the darkness that hides what I am

Making me strong, when I am just a lamb

In the arms of death himself, I am protected from my pain

When he is the one that inflicts it, years and years again

Two tides of my soul, the dark and the light

Battle for dominance, battle for might

One side screams to stay here with my lover

While the other side screeches to run and take cover

Until Hermes comes to my rescue from this shadowed land

And I return to my mothers gentle hand

But I ate the seeds, it was my choice to make

And so my Fate I will readily take

Light and dark still splits my heart

And so on this day, my new life will start
