Author's Note: I wrote this awhile ago, and I just found it in my documents. I thought that it related to the whole situation between the Dark Elders and the rest of the good Elder race. I know it's not good, but I posted it anyway. Please read and review. (Although, I'd appreciate it if you didn't review telling me how bad it is. Light and Darkness
The sun is shining through the clouds
Strength contains the foggy darkness
Until the light fails, turning the sky over to dark and night
An earthquake breaks through the cold, raw earth
Sending anger and confusion all around
Darkness is winning, taking power and control
Eerie gray clouds loom overhead
Lightning flashing, thunder booming
A chill trembles through all the land
Light is fighting harder now
Trying to gain back control
Seeping through the blackened sky
And breaking into the crevices of earth
Thawing the once chill, sending warmth once more
Light has won again
Take no comfort, for darkness is just ahead
Waiting around the corner, anticipation setting in
Searching, seeking the tiniest cracks, an unnoticed
Flaw, horror of a memory tucked away
Anything to seep into and gain the advantage of control
Waiting, waiting for your weakest moment.
Darkness will try its unfair skeeving tricks and games
But light will always be stronger
It is undefeatable and will always prevail
