Animal crossing story because I feel very animal crossing lately.
:: Chapter 1- Welcome, Mayor Minnie! ::
Some days, the sun comes up earlier and everyone just seems to be in a cheerier mood. That's how the residents of Wikik-Hi felt on this day. They rose earlier than usual, freshened up, and wore their best and their favorite clothes. Why act like such? Today, the new mayor was coming into town. They had heard good things about her- hardworking, helpful, kind, and smart. They hoped she would be what she was praised to be. Wikik-Hi wasn't in the best of places. Mayor Tortimer decided he was too old for the job and just laid everything in Isabelle's hands: taking care of the town, taking care of everyone, and finding new mayor.
Hopefully the Mayor would do her job.
Minnie relaxed on the train headed to Wikik-Hi. She had just talked to a cat, his name was Rover. She would be in Wikik-Hi soon. She tied up her brown hair into a pony tail and smiled. She was naturally always blushing, which accentuated her green eyes. She had worn a pair of jeans with black pumps, as well as a mint gingham t-shirt. She didn't want to look too casual or too serious for her first day in town.
Now arriving in Wikik-Hi! Wikik-Hi!
The train pulled into the station, and she exited, after talking to the monkey, Porter.
"Okay, no stress. No stress," She whispered as she walked out.
"WELCOME!"
Her eyes widened as she was a bandaged male with dog ears and a tail, a girl with long fluffy hair in a fancy dress with sheep horns, and a tall male with his dark purple-black hair in a small ponytail. Another blonde haired person approached her and she realized it was a dog in a business suit.
"I'm Isabelle! You must be Mayor Minnie!"
Mayor Minnie... That just sounds right. "
That's how my days here in Wikik-hi started, Minnie wrote. It took a while, but my house started to look like a house, and the town began to look like a town. I became close friends with Freya, she was one for the first residents here! There have been a few new residents here, like Marina and Kyle. I hope more people move here to Wikik-Hi. It may not be like some of the other towns, but it being small definitely has it's charms. Except we don't get exotic fruit imports. I'm starting to get tired of apples. We've celebrated a few festivals here, but nothing too drastic. Nothing like Thanksgiving or Christmas or New Years... I can't wait for those.
But I'm so glad I'm the Mayor here.

The first four chapters are going to be short and slow going because they introduce the first four human residents!
