It was a rainy day at the Cardia Cathedral, everyone in tears, mourning about the death of their treasured Dragon Slayer. Lucy and Lisanna were crying over the coffin that carried the corpse of the one who died. Wendy curled up into a ball with tears and sat on the cold wet concrete with Carla trying to comfort her. Romeo was phased out, like a puppet with no signs of life until his father hugged him from behind and brought him back into reality causing water to be released from his pupils. Gray, Erza, Gajeel and Laxus stared down on the cold concrete floor all emotions mixed but not a single tear shed. Mostly anger was being expressed from these 4 wizards. Juvia behind Gray lays a hand on his shoulder, Gray doesn't show any reaction toward it. Erza gripped both her fists with fury as she continues to stare. Gajeel hugged Levy who was in his arms crying deeply into his chest. Laxus stared at the coffin with a serious expression not showing a bit of sadness nor anger. Elfman held Mirajane closely as she too was deep in sorrow. The guild master makes a request for the 2 girls sobbing over the coffin. Lucy and Lisanna, speak his last words when you two were by his death bed. *As Lisanna and Lucy both cleared both their throats and started to speak: Even if I can't see you… Even if we are separated far apart from each other… I'll always be watching after you. I'll definitely watch over you forever…
After the two finished speaking they had a flashback of Natsu giving them his last smile. Then both of them resumed crying. The 4 earlier who couldn't show a bit of sadness finally had tears coming from their eyes. Gray stood still with a flood of tears that began to drip from his face. Erza covered her face with both her hands drenching them with water. Gajeel held onto Levy tightly as tear drops begin to fall. Laxus had streams of water forming as his thunder god tribe comforted him from behind. As the guild master walks up to the coffin, water begins to flood from his eye lids. Makarov begins to speak a speech about the deceased guild member: Here lies Natsu Dragneel...He was very talented and special person to us, he reached out to us in our moment of despair and fought for us. He was huge part of our family and the closest thing to me as a son. Despite of his recklessness, he truly was an inspiration for many wizards in Fiore. I am grateful for him being apart of our family.
Lisanna's perspective of the funeral
I was not prepared for this...I was finally able to see Natsu again after being stuck in Edolas...
I know I remember telling him when we were little all living things eventually die...but...this was too soon. I...still wanted to be around him more...I wanted our house play to become a reality... I started to emotionally break down crying in front of his coffin, my brother and sister came to my side, hugged me tightly as I sobbed into their embrace. Happy came to embrace me as well, he too was suffering heavily. I snuggled him beneath my chest as we both continue to mourn.
Lucy's perspective of the funeral
I cried...and cried...another person who I cared dearly about has...died. He was the first person I met from Fairy Tail...and made me a part of this family. He came to my rescue many times...he helped me on jobs...and encouraged me to pull through moments of despair...despite his recklessness...I...I really was fond of him. That smile...his goofy grin...his feelings...I will always treasure it within my heart. I collapsed onto the cold wet floor...Loki appeared before me and hugged tightly. As I looked over his shoulder, my celestial friends were behind him...and came to my side as well to embrace me. My sobbing grew even longer.
