This is just a one-shot about Tonks and Lupin's last moments. I was intrigued and had to write it. All credit goes to JK Rowling.
She ran through Hogwarts once majestic hallways, littered with corpses and the painful screaming of the victims of this one last war.
Where is he? Where is he? Tonks thought to herself as she ran to where her heart tugged her.
There she saw him. Struggling to fight three Death Eaters off at once. He was failing, Tonks could see that. She stupefied two of them and Remus finished off the last. He turned to her.
"Dora, what are you doing here? You're supposed to stay with Teddy." He said with a painful edge to his voice.
"I couldn't just sit there, wondering if you are alive, Remus." She replied.
Tears sprang to his eyes, "You need to keep safe Dora, I couldn't live without…"
He was cut off by a spring of light bursting across his vision.
He then saw his worst nightmare, the one thing he could never bear to think about happening. He saw his wife fall.
"No!" he screamed. Catching her before she hit the ground.
"Dora! Dora!" he sobbed.
Her eyes flickered open and she breathed a painful breath. "Remus" she whispered.
"No, Dora! Don't you dare leave me! I cant live without you! I refuse to live without you! Please!"
"Remus," she whispered again. Her eyes slowly shut and her chest stopped moving. She hung limply in his arms.
Tears slowly ran down Lupin's cheeks. Harsh laughter sounded behind him. Bellatrix Lestrange limped into his sight.
"Awww, poor little Nymphie. Poor little Loopy. His wife is all dedidums…" she giggled.
Lupin didn't take his eyes off his wife's face. "Just kill me." he said.
Bellatrix's voice hardened, "With pleasure."
There was a flash of light and a sudden pain. Lupin fell.
