How it all began

After walking Lorelai home from the wedding, Luke returned to his apartment. He wanted to believe that before he walked away that she shared the same feelings for him. That she loved him. He just couldn't bring himself to do so. She was Lorelai Gilmore for god sake. She couldn't possibly want him. So with much stress and debate he went to bed to dream of the coffee addicted woman in hopes to relieve the tension he felt in his heart for her.

Meanwhile at Lorelai's

Lorelai was currently trying to figure out why she felt weird around Luke all of a sudden. They had been friends for a better part of a decade almost she shouldn't be having none friendly feelings for him. Should she? She sighed getting tired of debating with herself over her mixed feelings and went to her room to try and figure out why she felt this way. She changed into her pajamas and was just about to climb into bed when a loud, obnoxious noise came from downstairs. "What the hell?" she said making her way to her door.

As she neared the top of the stairs she heard a soft mumbling and heavy breathing. A little afraid now, she grabbed the closest thing to her to use as a weapon. Which, just so happened to be the flip flop to the right of the first stair. She quietly and calmly mad her way down the stairs.

"Damn it!" she heard as she reached the bottom. She became increasingly scared and her breathing became rapid. Lorelai took a deep breath and made her way down the hallway to the kitchen. Stopping just before reaching the doorway to collect herself. "Okay, you can do this. Just turn the corner and attack the perp with your, umm….trusty…um..shoe. With you trusty shoe." Lorelai said to herself.

As she turned into the room, holding the flip flop up high she yelled frantically swinging and thrashing about.

"AHHHHHHHHHH" she screamed getting closer to the figure by the back door. Still swinging her arms frantically.

"AHHHHHHHHH. What the HELL! Lorelai are you trying to kill me?"

"Oh my god. What are you doing here?" Lorelai asked the man.

"Lore! Come on don't be like that. I was coming to see you."

Lorelai laughed loudly. "Chris, the last time you came to see me you asked me to marry you and it was at least in the day time"

"Well I was just passing through and wanted to see my favorite Gilmore Girls." Chris replied, grinning.

"Well last time I heard from you was when you called to tell me you couldn't make it to Rory's graduation because you were busy." Lorelai said angrily. " What was so important that you couldn't see you only daughter graduate from high school?"

Chris stayed quiet. He had no excuse for not being there and he couldn't come up with one. He didn't want to go was all he could think to say and wasn't going to let Lorelai hear that. After several minutes of silence, Lorelai sighed loudly. "Okay fine….then leave!" She yelled as she turned to go back upstairs.

"Lorelai wait. I love you" Chris called after her.
