I must have started singing sometime in the middle of this, because I never heard the door open.
"Who was that for?" asked Jacob. He had his nose up, as if he could smell Edward in the room.
"Um,...uh...I don't know? I heard it on the radio? And liked it?"
"I can live with that." He said. I'm pretty sure we both knew it was for Edward, but I couldn't come right out and say it. I've got to sort out these emotions. Jake is, like, my best friend, and I like him. But, Alice is my best friend, too, and I guess I like Edward more. "My dad just needed to talk to Charlie. He sent me up here. I think he's done. Bye."
