I wrote this for an English contest in my school...well I didn't won so I posted this here. It's a bit different than the film but whatever! Some reviews would be really nice since I didn't won anything :D !
The Underland air feels strange today. The Frabjous day is upon us…Knowing the fact that my younger sister, Alice, must slay the Jabberwocky makes me even more nervous. I mean…she's only 19 after all! The Hatter talked to her the whole day yesterday, giving her advice and tips. He's such a wonderful human being, I don't know who in the world called him "Mad".
Now, while we're marching towards the Chessboard, where the battle will be held, I'm having flashbacks with all the good moments my sister and I spent together. I wonder if this is a bad sign…All wrapped up in my thoughts, I haven't realized that we have already arrived on the battle field, and that the Jabberwocky is getting out of its cave. A thick mist covered the skies and I felt shivers down my spine when the beast let out a huge yell. The Hatter didn't seem intimidated, but he looked really concerned. From the first day we came to Underland, he was like a brother to us, and he's definitely concerned for his "sister".
The battle had begun and Alice seemed in total disadvantage, I mean who wouldn't be in that spot when facing a beast like that. I tried to interfere but The Hatter caught my arm, reminding me that if anyone gets between the two, the Red Queen will keep the crown and the White Queen will be exiled from Underland forever. I was so full of rage when he stopped me, that tears started popping out of my eyes, ruining my make up. I looked at the Hatter again, and he seemed to be in the same emotional mood as I was. We couldn't bear it anymore.
While I was keeping my eyes shut to prevent more tears from coming out, I heard Alice shouting: "Off with your head!" and the next thing I saw when I opened my eyes was the beheaded Jabberwocky. Within seconds my tears of pain turned into tears of joy…Is this real?...My sister, Alice?...Did Alice slay that dragon-like creature?...She, by herself? I ran towards her to caress her, not caring a bit about the fact that I was going to mess my clothes with the Jabberwocky's blood. Queen Mirana took the crown of Underland for herself and Iracebeth of Crims, the Red Queen, was exiled in the Outlands.
When I let go of my sister, I went to the newly crowned queen to wish her a prosperous reign. After that, The Hatter came to me, pulled me aside, and told me in his soft voice:
"Delilah, I just spoke to your sister, and she told me that she wants to return home…do you want to return?" He asked me softly and sadly.
"Well Tarrant…I need to…I miss my family, I mean…I belong there!" I said almost crying.
"Then Delilah…I want to tell you something because I feel I can't keep it in me anymore, but you must promise you won't tell anyone" he said, his eyes turning from green to a pinky purple.
"I promise Hatter…Is it about Alice?"
"Yes, well…I want to tell you that…I'm in love with your sister, Alice. From the first day of your return she didn't get out of my mind…"
I was shocked of what he told me. I mean, Tarrant, in love with my sister? It's so beautiful but yet so tragic at the same time, because we MUST leave…we must go home.
"Delilah", he said then "please don't tell her, I'm already crushed and I don't want her to be crushed too."
"Of course not Hatter, I don't mind that you're in love with my sister, and I would be proud to call you my brother in law, but…We Belong There…"
"I understand Delilah, fairfarren!" Tarrant said while a tear shed on his cheek.
I and Alice drank The Teleport Potion and within seconds we fell up the rabbit hole, back home.
"It's such a long, long way to fall…"
