Rena: (glares at curtian)
If you keep glaring she won't come out even though (glare) it is her fault (glare) that we're late, that's no reason to be rude.
Rena, Kazuki, and Gene: REVENGE!

rose-ettastone: I blame the insane amount of work I have and the fact that I get no help at home (glares black like a boss)
(Clears throat) well no need to delay the story with useless details. Onto the story.

Chapter One
Syaoran's P.O.V
There were people in the room again. I could hear them talking, fragments of conversation. There was someone new today.
"Hinamori-san your husband abused our contract we must take action," one of them said.
"You can't. He was sick. What did you want us to do?" she demanded.
"And what are you going to do about it?" It was the new girl. I hadn't heard her voice before but my shiki didn't like her.
"I won't but Rena Lin will," Hinamori-san boasted.
Rena? What did my sister have to do with that woman?
There was laughing. A lot of it. Funny, because if they were talking about my twin then Hinamori-san wasn't off the mark.
"And pray tell why would one woman stand against us?"
"Because she has a whole army at her feet."
Gene's P.O.V
"Yasuhara give me my lollipop back!" Rena pouted.
It was a recent discovery of the SPR gang that Rena loved candy so Bou-san had taken it upon himself to bring her a cherry lollipop once a day. Today, however, Yasu had deemed it necessary to take it from her.
"Yasu give Rena her lollipop. How old do you think you are?" Mai said.
He just smirked and was about to lick it and that's when I came in. I jumped, taking away the candy and handing it back to Rena. Once that task was done I stuck my tongue out at Yasu as Rena bounced behind Takigawa.
"That cat just stuck its tongue out at me," Yasuhara said.
Smart.
"Okay first you steal Rena's candy and then you say the cat stuck his tongue out at you. Are you feeling okay?" Bou-san asked him.
"You wound me Bou-san. You of all people should know me better," Yasu saud giving him a suggestive look.
"Never ever. Do you hear me? Never will that happen," Takigawa told him. Mai and Rena just laughed.
"Hey Rena, where are Naru and Lin-san?" Mai asked.
Rena peeked out from behind Bou-san. "Out mailing something,"
"How long will they be gone?"
"Why?"
"Because it's snowing,"
Quicker than I thought humanly possible everyone pulled on their coats and scarves and ran outside. Rena managed to wrap the grey scarf that Masako had given her for Christmas around her neck as she hid behind a car with Mai.
"Where are they?" she asked.
"Behind the red car," Mai answered.
I sighed and went to hide with them. This was going to be interesting.
The two girls made snowballs. I could feel Rena send the Pharaoh and the Nymph off to spy on Yasu and Bou-san. Rena and Mai sprung into action hitting both of them in the face with snow. It went on for a while and ended with the two men running for cover. I sighed hiding deeper into the bin I'd found.
"You know what I think?" Rena said. "We should ditch the office and go to the park."
"But what about Naru and Lin-san?" Mai asked.
"Come on Mai. This is our last week of freedom before we go back to school." Rena said. "Besides I'll make sure you don't get into trouble."
" Sure Mai, why not?" Bou-san added smiling.
"We could Mai-chan. Naru wouldn't really notice." Yasu said.
"Fine I give up," she said throwing her arms up in defeat. The others cheered and I sighed as I was stuffed into Rena's purse.
Rena's P.O.V
I fell back against the snow.
"You know what? We should make a snowman," I didn't say it very loudly but the other turned to look at me anyway.
"Let's do it!" Mai agreed jumping slightly.
I smiled and stood up.
We stepped back to inspect our snowman. His right arm was longer than his left. His head was tiny and his eyes were all over the place.
"Our snowman is deformed." Yasu pointed out.
I smirked.
"He is not. I think he's just fine!" Mai huffed.
"Either way it's going to melt soon anyway," Bou-san said.
"Well it doesn't matter." I told them. "We made it and we might as well take a picture with our snowman, deformed or not."
We pulled a random woman over and asked us to take a picture of us. Everyone crowded around the snowman and even Geng stepped in.
"Well now that that's done let's go warm up." Bou-san told us.
I took my phone out and flipped it open, 4pm.
"We should it's—"
I looked as my phone received a text message. Since when did Noll send me text messages?
Close the office and come home, NOW
"Is something wrong?" Mai asked. I showed her the text message.
"You closed the office before we left right?" Bou-san asked and I nodded.
"I should get going," I told them already making my way towards the street. I was yanked backwards and yelped as snow made its way into my jacket. I glared up at them and they looked away trying not to laugh.
"I'm in a hurry so I'm going to pretend that gravity and ice are to blame," I snapped and walked away.
They got off easy
"Yes they did." I agreed as soon as I reached the street.
This wasn't the first time I got a text message like this. I just hoped everything was okay.
Naru's P.O.V
Lin and I walked out of the post office and made our way towards the van. We stopped short when we saw a girl sitting against the car wheel. Lin stepped in front of me.
"Can I help you?" Lin asked her.
"Please, help me," she said her brown hair falling from her face.
"Do you need us to call someone?" I asked her. She shook her head. "Then what do you need?"
"Can you help me?" she asked again.
"We can't help you if you won't tell us what's wrong," I snapped.
Lin gave me a reproachful look as the girl flinched. It wasn't my fault if she was acting like that. If Rena were here she'd say something around the lines of 'Aren't you supposed to be smart? Homes, it's called tact' I smiled a little despite myself.
"Text Rena and tell her to get home now." Lin said taking the girl and putting her in the van.
I nodded and climbed into the van as my mind tried to catch up. I'd picked up bits and pieces of their conversation. Something about spirits, mediums, and control. Damn. And Watson was supposed to help me. I texted Rena and prayed she got there soon.
"Take her upstairs and I'll be back soon." Lin said. "Rena should almost be here."
This was getting irritating and old real easy.
Rena's P.O.V
I pushed my way into the apartment. Takumi was sitting at the desk. Kazuki had made him take the position in order to keep a closer eye on me and make sure I was okay and safe. He was the same guy that I'd met at the club. He had blond hair and green-blue eyes. He wasn't as bad as he seemed. We kept that little fact a secret.
"Rena-san you have a package," he called as I zipped past him.
I walked back. There was a long box on the counter with a white card. I was used to the white cards. He always left one on the front desk and I would always walk by picking it up, we left associating to a minimal.
"Thank you," I told him. "Did my brother get home yet?" I was walking backwards towards the elevator.
"He left but Shibuya-san is in," he answered I nodded and went into the elevator I tapped my foot impatiently wanting it to hurry up. I took deep breaths calming myself; the last thing I wanted was to appear like an emotionally distraught girl. The elevator stopped and I walked out taking my keys out Gene stuck his head out of my bag as I fumbled with the keys. I pushed my door opened and took my shoes off as he jumped out of my bag and onto the floor. I looked up and on the living room couch a teenage girl around my age was sitting there. I started for a while and decided to play it safe.
"Hello stranger that is in my house," I told her she looked up and caught my eyes. What the hell?
"Rena, why the hells are you wet?" Noll demanded he grabbed a towel and started drying my hair.
"Hey! Hey! I'm not some cute puppy that you can dry off like that," I told him pushing his hand away.
"Then go take a shower," he said pointing to my bathroom, I blushed angrily.
"Fine," (1) I huffed stomping off.
"Wait what's that?" he asked I looked down at the package suddenly realizing what it was. I place it on the kitchen counter opening it quickly but carefully.
"It's my violin," I whispered opening the case, my violin. I lightly touched the black material; my violin was pitch black, with golden strings. In my opinion, it was breath taking.
Now you can actually use my powers
I smiled, that was true, I hadn't been able to call Gene, because if I called for him in English, Noll and everyone else would be able to see him. Koujo however whistled and his shiki appeared as light, I had to play my violin in order to do that.
"That's nice now go take a shower," Naru told me I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Umm, excuse me what's your name?" I asked the girl she'd been watching us this whole time.
"Moto, Moto Arica," she said quietly.
"Lin brought her," Noll whispered to me I nodded and went to take a shower.
I walked back out into the living room toweling off my hair.
"You left the office before I told you too didn't you?" Naru asked reading a book not even looking up.
"If you figured that out already, Homes, why are you asking?"
"And to top it off it was so that you idiots, except you, could go play in the snow," he said looking up.
"Right you are Home, as always," I told him.
"Glad that you admit it, Watson, however the last thing we need is you catching a cold," he explained I nodded and sat down next to him turning to Moto-san.
"So how can my brother help you?" I asked her she looked up.
"Well, I, lately things have changed," she mumbled. "I've always seen things that others can't but recently I, they've, been getting to close, more the normal, almost as if I'm attracting them,"
She's a medium I'm sure of it, and a strong one, I'm sure she can almost make us out.
Well that could get irritating
"They?" I asked softly she nodded biting her lips.
"The spirits," she whispered, well good god.
We were quite for a while, not knowing what to say, Noll grabbed my hand and I looked back at him. His bangs where covering his eyes and I squeezed his hand. I know, Noll, I know. He was remembering Gene.
The door opened and Koujo stepped in he looked at us.
"I'm going to set this up in here so that we can keep the spirits away," he explained placing charms over the apartment.
"Don't you have some where to stay?" I asked Moto-san she shook her head.
"They always hurt the people I'm with, please you have to help me," she pleaded her eyes wide and begging I met Naru's eyes.
"Can your shiki help her?" he asked me I looked at Gene, he nodded his head.
"Yes,"
"Then I suppose that you'll stay here for your own safety and everyday Rena will give you lessons, Moto-san," Naru told her.
"What kind of lessons?" she asked Koujo came back into the room.
"To control your abilities as a medium because that's what you are," he said she looked up.
"Thank you so much," her eyes began to fill up with tears. "Thank you,"
Well that's SPR for you, we change lives, and we make the difference, one life at a time. That's, what Syaoran always said.
Syaoran's P.O.V
"You send Veronica, correct?" he was the leader but who was the girl.
"Yes, my daughter will make sure that Rena Lin is no longer a threat, she'll weaken her until that girl can't even look towards her 'army'," my throat constricted. No, gods almighty, please, anyone but Rena.
"Will she suffice?"
"Of course my daughter is a very powerful medium she'll be fine," the man told him. Rena, please leave her alone, leave Rena alone. And somehow I found my lost voice.
"Protect her please, Gods of Heaven, protect my sister," and then the world turned black around me.
Rena's P.O.V
Something was wrong that was the first thing that I noticed when I woke up. I looked around, the day was beautiful the sun was out and the snow lay untouched and perfect. Yet fear coursed through my veins blurring my vision and twisting my stomach. I slapped my hand over my mouth and stumbled to the bathroom throwing everything up I had eaten.
And yet my legs shook and my heart race, what was going on? (2)
Naru's P.O.V
I woke up to scratching on my door and grumbled curses as I opened the door.
"Rena needs your help," I woke up instantly and followed the cat to the bathroom.
"Rena," she was curled up against the bath tub holding tightly onto her chain. I tilted her head up her eyes where clouded with fear. I pulled her into my arms holding her tightly.
"It's alright I'm here," I whispered holding her on my lap running my hand up and down her back. "It'll be okay,"
"I'm scared," she whispered into my neck shivering I pulled her closer.
"Why?"
"I don't know,"
Author's Note: (1) my Spanish teacher was teaching us Theory of Knowledge in Spanish and she gave us an article that talked about how each gender talked and what certain phrases mean. In that article it said when a female said 'Fine' it meant to the guy you're wrong and need to shut up. I just thought it was hilarious.
(2) Rena and Syaoran have a really strong bond, stronger than Naru's and Gene's because Syaoran has crazy ESP. So she feels his fear ten times worse than he does because when they're apart it magnifies. Cool right?
SOOOO, yeah, it's been a long time, right? Yeah and rose-ettastone, don't bring personal issues in!
