Cream and Devotion

Haruhi had first wondered about the relationship of Huni and Mori. It wasn't until Huni had disappeared, and no one was quite certain where he was or if he was safe, that she began to understand. Mori, in his own quiet way, was frantic with worry. He did not carry on like a certain King, or even in like the twins. Haruhi shuddered to think if there were two Kyouyas, but the thought, unfortunately, crossed her mind.

Mori was a strong person, but as she got to know him better, and sometimes that was difficult since he said so little, but Haruhi was beginning to see what lay behind those silences. How much he cared, how much he thought and how much he repented when he believed that he done Hunny wrong.

In some ways it seemed that Hunny was oblivious to the level of devotion that Mori lavished on him. But in other times, Haruhi had see how his face lights up that little bit more when he can see, and touch Mori. Hunny is affectionate, but his most serious attention, is totally devoted to Mori.

Some moments when they thought they were alone, bring a warm flush to her cheeks. Mori smiling warmly, only like for Hunny, as he wipes a small smudge of cream lingering to Hunny's nose. Hunny's eyes trailing the finger as Mori licks the smooth cream off his finger. Hunny's rosy lips parting slightly as he sees Mori's expression, savouring it.

"It tastes," and Hunny leans in and Mori speaks in his low, serious way, "Like bunny. My Bunny."

A wide, gleeful grin escapes from Hunny's grip, and he lifts his arms in the air, waving them about excitedly. "Yay!" Mori allows himself a small smile, ever watchful of Hunny, ever protecting and loving.

Haruhi decides not to interrupt them. A small smile lingering of her lips as she leaves.
