Hello! so this is a short little snippet from a fic I want to start, but due to the fact that I try to stay true to both anime's logic and characters, I might be tweaking slight things about characters, story, etc. Anyway, please let me know what you think, because I really do want to try my best with this one! Okay. Asking someone how long they believed in father Christmas is a bit illogical. I mean I don't really focus on how long I believed in some old large man who only worked one day a year.
But to those of you who are really curious, I've never really believed in him. Ever. The Santa that comes to children's Christmas parties? He was obviously fake. However, it wasn't until I grew up a little more that I realised that aliens, time travellers and magical beings that you see on TV shows are also fake. Okay, I suppose I always knew those things didn't exist, I just wanted to just keep believing it. There has to be more to life than just work work work, pay taxes cook dinner etcetera, etcetera. That was probably why I wanted to stay in a fantasy world for just a little bit longer. All I ever wanted was to jump into their world and experience the excitement and magic of their lives, just for a while. Anyway, I eventually grew out of this false wishing, and came up with a little compromise. I can still think about those things while staying well-grounded in reality. Just after making this compromise, I started high school, it had all whizzed by so fast. Just as I was starting to fully embrace the world I lived in, something happened to me which threw my view of the world upside-down, if you'll excuse the cliché. Him.
