Tatsuha fiddled with the guitar, humming an old song he knew. He'd found the acoustic hidden away in the apartment and hadn't been able to resist.

"I didn't know you played." He looked up to see his idol and friend, Sakuma Ryuichi, standing in the bedroom doorway. The older man's expression was soft and serious for once. He still didn't look his age, but he looked far more mature than usual.

With a shrug, Tatsuha laughed. "I don't really. I talked Otousan into ordering one of those 'learn to play at home' kits once. Drove Eiri and Mika insane for a few weeks trying to teach myself." He strummed a few more notes. An amateurish version of 'twinkle twinkle little star' lingered in the air for a moment.

"That's not bad," Ryuichi said as he came all the way in and took a seat next to Tatsuha on the floor.

"Not that good either. Mika finally burned all of it. She said I was tone deaf and if I kept it up, she'd never want to hear another note of music again in her life."

"How old were you?"

"Eh… about nine or ten I guess. It was before Eiri went to New York."

"That wasn't very nice of her. I bet all you needed was time and practice." Ryuichi edged around to sit behind him.

The younger man's breath caught as strong arms wrapped around him. Sakuma Ryuichi was touching him. All up close and intimate like. Inside he was doing the male equivalent of a fan-girl dance. Even when the singer's intentions became clear with the hands wrapping over his own on the guitar, he was still doing internal cartwheels.

Ryuichi led him through a few basic chords before beginning to strum an actual song. Tatsuha let his hands slip away from the guitar so that only his companion was playing. "That's pretty, but I don't think I've ever heard it before…"

"It's something I picked up in the States." After a few more notes, the throaty voice he loved so well sang a few soft lines. "… 'Is there a line that I could write…that's sad enough to make you cry?' mmmhhmm… Did you love me… only in my head…"

"Sakuma-san…."

The music puttered out and Tatsuha started in surprise when the shaggy brown hair was suddenly tickling his cheek. 'Sakuma Ryuichi is laying his head on my shoulder! I could die right this second and truly be able to say that this has been the happiest day of my life!'

"Call me Ryuichi, please?" There was something in the unusually serious expression of the singer's face that made Tatsuha's heart skip a beat- something besides the fact that it was a mere couple of inches from his own face.

"O-okay…" he stuttered. "R-Ryuichi."

All trace of maturity and seriousness suddenly vanished as Ryuichi beamed at him before pushing a stuffed pink bunny into his face. "SankYuu! Kumagora is very happy that Tat-chan said yes!"

The hard bunny nose was pressed against his mouth, quickly followed by the feel of warm lips, before both bunny and singer bounced out of the room leaving cheerful laughter in their wake.

Tatsuha could only shake his head and wonder how much had been real and how much he'd dreamed.
