It was all over the moment they met. When those glistening cerulean eyes widened, aligning with the stare of another's, Hikari knew that this was the end.
There was a peculiar exchange of sparks. Between the two, a special connection had knotted them together, linking their red strings of fate. It was something that he, in all his fourteen years, hadn't experienced. It was something that he, standing on the concrete pier, could only watch unfold in dismay.
On that bright summer's day, the girl from the ocean was held captive in mind, body and heart.
The perpetrator?
A land dweller on a boat.

Tsumugu stared up at the entangled figure, perplexed.
There was a girl in his net. A petite, little, trembling thing with caramel locks trailing down her sides. Her skin shimmered as translucent scales under sweetened sunlight, soaking up sea salted droplets. With knees curled to her chest, she peeked down at him between squared rope. Their eyes locked. His widened a fraction and all else vanished.
A hush fell upon nature, muting the waves that greeted the boat's hull. The songs of seabirds silenced as he found himself drawn into two pools of cerulean. Silently, he revered the water nymph's tantalizing frame, swaying to and fro just out of reach.
Time stood still under that clear sky, frozen beneath crystal clear waters. Quietly, ever so quietly, leaving him to slip deeper and deeper into the void. Soundlessly drowning in her presence.
A/N: I'm more of a Tsusaki [TsumuguxChisaki] shipper now. Be prepared for an onslaught of those in the future. Posted something romance related a day early for Valentine's!
