Title: Where Are You?
Samwell laments about being separated from his best friend Jon so he writes him a letter.
Jon where are you? I've been traveling for days. I'm with Gilly now. She's a kind soul. I've been telling her all about Castle Black, the 300 sworn brothers and the nameless gods of the trees, wolves and snows. I've also mentioned the games the brothers play and other such folly. I think she's starting to like me, Jon, and we're bound to become great friends. Not friends like you and I are friends though. I miss you, Jon, I long for the day when we will see each other again. I'll never forget the night you told me to come closer to the fire. I told you things about my cruel father that I've never told anyone else before. I felt so safe with you. You probably think it foolish of me to finally be able to speak to someone freely at the age of two and twenty. I think we make a good team, you and I. You being the brawns and me being the brains of the two. Not that you're not as clever as a whip, my brother, because you are. I hope you're well and that you're getting enough to eat. Jon, I've nowhere to send this letter. But I will keep it safe near my heart along with everything else that hasn't been spoken between us. In the hopes that one day we will be reunited as brothers again under the Night's Watch.
-Your best friend, Samwell
