I DO NOT OWN THE MORTAL INSTRUMENT SERIES OR ANY OF IT'S CHARACTERS, CASSANDRA CLARE DOES. I ONLY OWN THE CHARACTERS I CREATED AND THE PLOT I CAME UP WITH.

So this is actually an edited version of an old fic that I wrote, but it was awful, so I redid.

It's a just a small one-shot of how I think Clary and Jace's child would be born.

I am gonna rewrite all of my one shots, and they are all going to be connected.

On with the Story

I am painting when I feel water gushing down onto my floor. I watch it puddle around my feet and yell for my husband

'Really Stephen, right now.' I think.

That when Jace runs in with a dagger in hand. He drops it when he sees the water, and it hits the floor with a clang. I barely even notice because holy fuck there is water gushing out of my body.

"What is going on?" He asks in a rushed voice.

"What do you think is going on, my water just broke," I reply with a calm voice.

'My water just broke!'

"Uhhh, okay, we can do this," My husband mutters to himself. "I'll call Magnus!" Jace yells as he runs out of the room faster than he came.

'Great, he's panicking while I am about to go into to labour.'

I was just about to finish my painting of the New York City Skyline when my water broke. Oh well.

Jace came bursting back in and lifts me up bridal style, much to my protests, and runs me towards the infirmary.

"Magnus and Tessa will be here as fast as he can. So will brother Enoch." He said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Then I feel a sharp pain throughout my abdomen.

"Ahhh," I sigh in pain as I have another contraction. I have been having them for about an hour but chose to ignore them for the paintings sake. This one has been the worst one yet.

"Are you okay? Is Stephen okay?" Jace says in a very concerned voice.

"Contraction," I say in a strained voice.

Just then Magnus, Tessa, and brother Enoch enter. Magnus looked completely excited and Tessa looked happy but concerned as well. Brother Enoch looked the same creepy way he always did. Jace looked very relieved.

And thus began several hours of pain followed but unexplainable joy.

And for what I hold in my hands right now, I would do it all over again.

What did you think?

Remember that reviews make the world go round.

Anyways,
