A/N: Obviously I don't own these characters, because if I did, Ste and Brendan would be shagging until…well, forever basically.

"This could be the end of me career, Brendan," Ste frantically paced the A&E.

He'd had an accident at work with a pizza cutter, his middle finger gushing with blood. He gripped his stronger hand around the blooded towel. They'd been hurting for more than an hour and half now. It didn't help that it was a Friday night; they both knew it was going to be a very long night.

"Will ye just sit down," Brendan grumbled. He sipped at his coffee, he'd never liked these places, and there was far too much going on around him. No peace and quiet.

Ste sat beside Brendan and rocked his leg up and down. "How long are they gonna be?"

Brendan shrugged, "how do I know? Just drink ye tea and calm down."

"I'm sorry right, but I could lose a finger and-"

"It's a small cut, Stephen. Don't ye think ye just being a tad over-dramatic?"

"Well that's easy for you to say! Look at all that," Ste pointed at the red towel, which was previously a white. "Don't look small to me."

"It'll be a few stitches at least. Then we'll be on our way."

Ste sighed, slumping back in the chair, and groaned "I'm so glad I've got such a supporting boyfriend."

After a further hour of waiting, Ste had finally been seen to. A few stitches were all he need and they would be on their way.

"Told ye," Brendan claimed.

"Whatever, it proper hurts Bren," Ste rubbed gently around the cut.

Brendan leant forward and reached for Ste's hand. He placed a kiss on every piece of flesh he could get to.

"Argh, that's tickling that," Ste squeaked, pulling back his hand back with a grin on his face.

"Just kissing it better for ye," Brendan shrugged.

After a content silence Ste spoke, "that male nurse was fit, weren't he?"

Brendan raised his eyebrow, "eyeing up other men are we, Stephen?"

"Couldn't help it…his hands were all soft examining mine and he kept looking at me when he was speaking!" Ste smiled as though he was just having a conversation with a friend, not his boyfriend. "And those eyes…"

"Are ye forgetting who I am?" Brendan moaned, his voice pitching at a tone he'd much rather it didn't.

Ste laughed, "different when you're eyeing up men in Chez Chez."

"They eye me up, Stephen," he looked down at his own body and winked, "can't say I blame them."

"Well as long as that's all they do, don't want 'em all over me man."
