Katie looks herself over in the mirror, wondering if what she's wearing will be attractive enough. Oliver's not much into girly girls, and he loves his Quidditch, so Katie doesn't try and dress up too fancy. She decides on wearing Jeans and a nice blue blouse.

The anticipation is killing her; every so often Katie will pace the living room and check the clock on the wall. When the time of her date rolls around, she doesn't yet light the fireplace, because she doesn't want to appear too eager.

Katie hasn't a clue why she's so nervous, her and Oliver have known each other for years. He's guided and taught her so much in the past years their friendship had developed pretty fast. When it got to a certain point where they wanted to be in each other's company outside of Quidditch, it became so much more. Today, they'll both be on the careful side, but who knows what might happen when the boundaries of friendship are removed.

Lighting the fire and taking a small pot off the mantelpiece, she grabs a handful of the ash and throws it into the flame. It turns a bright green and burns fiercely. She steps in and after a few moments of colors whirling around, she lands on her feet. Right into Oliver's nice looking living room.

"Hello," Oliver says, coming down the staircase. He looks very cleaned up, with a lovely button down and blazer. I'm glad to see he stuck with his jeans as well.

Katie smiles, her gaze irrevocably drawn to the intricate lamp and then his trusty Nimbus 2001. "Nice lamp," she remarks.

Oliver shrugs. "My mum gave it to me. I'm not sure she understands the concept of me being a guy when it comes to things like nice lamps."

Katie arches one of her eyebrows and smirks. "I hope you didn't tell her that."

"Of course not. I just smiled and nodded when she gave it to me."

"Good." She pauses as she looks around living area. There's a table with food already prepared on it, and her stomach gives a slight rumble. Hoping Oliver didn't hear it, she decides to distract him. "I hope I'm not going to be dealing with Captain Wood tonight. I don't want to hear any 'You will obey me.'"

Oliver smiles and takes her hand. Her heart flutters at the look in his eyes. She wonders if he was anticipating the date as much as she was. "I would never dream of trying to get you to obey. I like a girl who knows her own mind."

Katie bats her eyelashes in a playfully coquettish way. "Just like?"

Oliver steps closer and his hand lets go of hers to cup Katie's cheek. She leans into the gentle palm. "Maybe more than likes," he admits in a quiet rumble.

Her stomach flips over at the look in his eyes. "I like 'more than likes.' I like it a lot."

"So, dinner?"

Katie nods, desperately hoping this is only the first date out of many.
