For some reason, I'm really enjoying doing these one shot Atlantis fics, so for a while this may be all I'm up to. Anyway, this is a sequel to Act 2, Scene 2. Thank you to all of you that reviewed it, but I do not cater to horny teens so there will not be any possible R material any time soon. Please note this has one minorly bad word, but other than that it's just fluff. Enjoy the Shepard/Teyla-ness, and as always, please review.

Disclaimer: I own Stargate Atlantis and all it's characters, that's why I'm 15 and in high school still. If you don't catch the sarcasm in that, may whatever diety you believe in bless your soul.

"Where are we going?" she asked. All he did was grin. "John, where are we going?" Still, all he did was grin. "It is traditional on my planet that when someone asks you a question, you answer them."

"I told you it was a surprise," he said as he pulled her along.

"I don't like surprises! I prefer to know where I'm going!" Teyla grumbled.

"Don't you trust me?"

"Yes, of course I trust you, but I don't want to be dragged along to be led into an unknown place."

"You'll like where we're going. I promise," he grinned again.

And so they walked on, and on, and on. Teyla wondered how he wasn't getting lost, she would. The city was big, and a maze of tunnels and passages. They were in one of the lower levels, close to where the city met the sea, and they were wandering through hallway after hallway. Slowly, they began to rise, to walk up stairs, through a tower. Finally, they came to a door.

"Close your eyes," he ordered as he reached for the handle.

"Where are we going?"

"Just close your eyes. I'm not leading you off a cliff or anything." As she put her hand over her eyes, he slowly pushed the door open. "Alright, you can open them."

She pulled her hand off her eyes and looked around. They were standing on the middle of a roof at the edge of the city, but it wasn't any roof, it was a garden: a garden that had been neglected for years but was still beautiful none the less.

Underneath vines, there were benches and fountains and paths, flowers of so many colors it looked like a 64 box of crayons. A statue in the middle, partially covered in vines depicted an old man reading to a young girl, sitting attentive at his feet.

"It's beautiful. How did you find it?" she asked, her mouth hanging open.

"Ford and I saw it when we were flying out of the city last week to go check on the mainland. It took me a few days to find it, but I thought you'd like it."

"Does Dr. Weir know about it?"

"I've told her I thought I saw a garden on a roof, but she doesn't know I found it. It's a secret garden."

"Isn't that a book from your planet?"

"Mm-hmm. Did McKay tell you about that?"

"The literature on your planet really is interesting."

"I'm glad you find my world so amusing."

"I'm glad you showed this to me," she said as she leaned in and kissed him. It had been a while since she had, but the same spark was there, and it was easy to deepen the kiss.

He creped his arms around her waist and held her close for a while before kissing her again, or at least trying to.

"Major Shepard to the control room, Major Shepard to the control room," his walkie-talkie cracked.

"Damn. So much for that moment. Come on, we have to get back," he said, taking her hand.

"Thank you," Teyla whispered as they walked through the door, and back into the maze of corridors and rooms that was Atlantis, leaving the garden seemingly untouched for another day.
